I decided to shop around for car insurance and went through the process of filling out an online application. It was quite invasive and I was led to believe that I would get quotes from several carriers. Some of the questions did not allow for the correct answer choice. I tried to use the chat support function and received error in the page. My application was processed and I only received one price offered to me form one carrier. The price was for inferior coverage then what I had and was almost double of what I was currently paying. *** I suspect my personal information will be passed around on the internet. In the first day I have received more then half a dozen emails

After becoming aware of your Revdex.com review we searched your email address in our database and reviewed the previous correspondence that you shared with our Customer Experience Team.
We confirmed that you did use our website to compare auto insurance quotes on July 9 and shared feedback with us via email later that day that the lowest rate you received was more than you were currently paying. In our response to you, we highlighted the fact that although the rate you received online may not have been lower than what you were currently paying it proves that you are already paying the lowest rate for your insurance.
LowestRates.ca provides customers with a full list of quotes from any of the companies and brokers who are able to provide an insurance policy; however, based on your particular driving and insurance history, only one insurance company was able to provide a quote. Although it is not common to receive just one rate there can be occasions when this may happen.
In the same email to us where you provided us with feedback about the rate you also expressed concern that your personal details were shared with multiple companies. The details that you provided online were only shared with the one broker who provided the lowest rate and, under no circumstances, were your personal details shared with any other insurance company or brokerage. We reassured you of this in our email response.
By completing a quote you consent to receive future communications from LowestRates.ca and the company you were matched with and do have the ability to unsubscribe from these communications if you wish to do so. Thank You. Contrary to your response. My request and criteria for insurance was fairly clean. Having only one provider provide a quote is very suspicious and unbelievable. I further strongly object to any public display and presentation of my potential and yet unfounded personal insurance risk presented in this response. I have no idea who sees this response but advise that the writer or host of this post act cautiously and accordingly. I have unsubscribed a few times around the July 10th date and am still receiving mail the most recent being July 21. It is a solicitation to sell home insurance. The unsubscribe function clearly does not work and if the business is implying that I have not unsubscribed that is false. I have seen other similar complaints on line about LowestRates. If the business claim is now that I am not on their unsubscribe list and I continue to receive emails, I may simply use any false claims to apply to have them blacklisted nationally. Further afterwards, I called one other individual carrier company for an insurance quote and received and purchased insurance for less then what I was paying and about half of what I was quoted form lowesterates.ca The Lowest Rates name alone is misleading in my experience and opinion.
I inquiries about a free insurance quote online at lowestrates.ca. Now, I keep receiving spam emails from this company.
I have unsubscribed 5 times but continue to get emails. I politely asked to be unsubscribed by responding to the spam email. Their staff replied and told me that I would be unsubscribed, but I continue to get emails.
I sent a second reply email telling them that I would report their spam emails
I am also reporting them to the Revdex.com.
I have attached confrmation that I have unsubscribed from emails.
Lowestrates.ca needs to fix their 'unsubscribe' function and process. I do not want to receive any more emails from them unless I re-subscribe. And if I chose to unsubscribe again, they need to stop sending emails. Easy.
We investigated ***'s complaint immediately after receiving his email (in addition to the multiple messages he sent to various LowestRates.ca employees through ***).
The results of our investigation revealed there was an issue with the unsubscribe feature related to the internet marketing service platform that we use (supplied by a 3rd party).
We have already reached out to the company that we work with and this issue has been resolved.
This customer has been successfully removed from all future correspondence sent through the LowestRates.ca internet marketing service platform.
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Several staff have indicated that there was a technical problem that has now been fixed. I have not received any additional emails from Lowestrates.ca for a few days now and I hope this trend continues.
