The owner/*** and Lowry Tire & Auto is not a trusted business. He showed no honor or integrity when putting my family, (my teenage daughter and my two-year-old grandson) in danger, with dishonorable service and repairs. After being a loyal customer for several years and after paying him $1283.29, I expected the car to be repaired properly and better customer service. He did not honor his service and repairs obviously The car could not run after hundreds of dollars and his haphazard repairs and failed service
***/Owner has not addressed any of the issues. He even hung up on us when we tried to call him back to tell him of the car still cutting off and the other issues with the car that resulted from poor service and repair.

Review: Summary of Service and Repair Issues.

We firmly believe Lowry Tire & Auto, Inc. caused damages over what was initially wrong with the vehicle. Service and repair to the vehicle was unacceptable charging for bad parts and damages they caused, along with some unauthorized service. Customer service was unacceptable.

• Improper and inferior repair and service

• Unreasonable and excessive delay in completing service

• Unauthorized service

• Repairs and Services provided resulted in additional damage.

• Failure to honor repair and services

6/22. Heard brakes and car fogged windshield inside. Fluid with a brown color was leaking on the driver side.

Lowry received car on 6/23

In the two-week time period, not once did the owner call back to update. We had to keep calling him. He sounded annoyed. Customer service was bad.

Owner/[redacted] gave diagnostic results on 07/1

Brake pads

Heater core.

We also had the following work done:

Oil and filter change.

He replaced the antifreeze?? Not sure why because nothing was wrong with the air conditioner.

Two tires, one of which the shop was not authorized to do. Owner said one tire had to be replaced. He did not tell us about the other tire. We were not informed; he replaced it without having consent.

(Both of the replaced tires that Lowry Tire & Auto Center, Inc. put in the car were both in bad condition per [redacted], as noted further in this complaint).

He gave no updates on the progress during the three weeks. I called several times to see when the car would be finished.

Lowry kept car until 7/10/2014. We paid in full. Paid 833.00

Car was released to me on 07/10/14 at approximately 3:30 pm.

One hour after receiving vehicle and driving (4: 20Pm), vehicle started smoking and cut off at a traffic light. The car stalled.

Car cut off

Car ran hot

Air conditioner not working.

Car was towed back to Lowry on 7/10/14 that evening.

Spoke with [redacted] the following morning. I told him what the car was now doing. I asked how could this happen? I asked if he had checked the car before releasing it to us; or checked with his mechanics before releasing the car and that the car was doing worse than when we brought it to him. His comment was that he has control of everything coming in or going out of his shop. The car was NOT cutting off prior to Lowry’s repair. The owner/ [redacted] did not want to look at the car. He expressed he would look at the car when he had time. [redacted] explained that he had customers waiting on a schedule and he would get to my vehicle when he could. I expressed that we have been customers of his for approximately 6 years and I was a customer. (After keeping the car for two weeks in diagnostics and paying 833.00). My car should be repaired but we were back the next day with the vehicle having more issues:

1. Cutting off

2. Wind shield still fogging. (Hot air was blowing onto the windshield without having heat or defrosts on).

3. Air conditioner not working.

4. All dashboard lights are out.

Owner/[redacted] would not look at the car until 7/15/2014. He now said he needed to replace the radiator. Lowry had the care initially for over two weeks, part of which was diagnostic. We asked why he did not tell us about the radiator at first with the initial diagnostics. His replay was that he could not tell it needed replacing then. At this point, we were not sure if he had damaged the radiator during the initial repair. Again, the car was not running hot or cutting off before the car was brought to Lowry.

He replaced the radiator. Total cost 376.76. We also paid for an additional tire that we did not ask for 37.29. He was only to replace one.

We picked car up on 7/16. When we got there, the owner/[redacted] would not look at us. His demeanor was questionable and not good customer service at all. His body language could be looked at as that of someone that was dishonest. It was as if he knew he being deceitful, no eye contact, no apology for the car not being repaired, and worse. He kept his face turned away from us even when we paid him at the register. He gave us the keys. We went to the car to find the windshield was filthy. They did not even clean the windshield. Just bad customer service. The car, from the work they had done showed dust and dirt on the seats and dashboard. They had not wiped done anything. Bad customer service. We had to ask for a paper towel to clean the windshield to see.

We drove the car. The car was now doing the following:

1. Car now lunges into gear (lunges into drive and reverse)

2. Car surges at 55 mph.

3. Dash board lights do not work.

My daughter called to tell him that the car was lunging into gear and surging at 55 mph. She also expressed that she heard a noise when driving that she had not heard before.

[redacted]/Owner asked her was the air conditioner running. She said yes but reminded him that the air conditioner was working fine when we brought the car and that their shop was the reason it was not working when returned to her the first time. In an angry tone said, “Well why did you bring your car to me in the first place. Then he hung up on her. [redacted]/owner never addressed the issues she called him back for

On 7/20/14, (four days after Lowry Tire & Auto released the car to us)

1. Car ran hot and cut off again with yet more issues again. Car had to be towed again.

Towed car again to my home on 7/20. (Towed car to [redacted] per appointment the following Saturday).

[redacted] is diagnosing the car. So far, the findings are as follows:

[redacted] found that the radiator had a leak in it. They put a sealant in to try to stop the leak. Put in antifreeze. (New radiator installed by Lowry)

They transmission had been damaged. They have to replace the computer relay 110.00

The noise my daughter heard was the tires that Lowry put on. The two tires put on the vehicle by Lowry’s were bad. The [redacted] says that the tires were so bad they were making a loud sound and had to be replaced.

Futher damages are pending based on the [redacted] diagnotic sevice.Desired Settlement: Replacement for Towing 230.00. Replacement for the two bad tires 70.00, Replacement for antifreeze, for which he caused the damage to the air conditioner, 70.00. Replacement for the bad radiator and service, 376.76. [redacted] Diagnostice fee, 98.00. Damage to the transmission, price that we have to pay [redacted] to repair 110.00. Futher damages pending [redacted] diagnotic. Pending Initial Total: 844.76

Review: I had my vehicle inspected by Lowry tire in which they replaced a bulb and two tires. Upon me getting my car everything seemed fine until I went in my trunk and noticed something was broken. At the time I couldn't figure out what it was but I kept the broken piece. A few days later I noticed my light was sitting very crooked in my back window and that's when it hit me where it came from. I called to the office to let them know what happened and they told me to bring it in so they could check it AFTER telling me yes he remembered me and that my light was hanging down when it was brought in which was not the case.( mind you I have not to them what kind of car it was not the color nor when) I proceeded to tell him no you must have mixed up with somebody else because my light wasn't broken it jus needed to be replaced. So I took it in and showed the owner the broken piece and he said ok my guys will take care of it so they took my car around back and about 45 min later said ok it's ready so I decided to check and see what my light looked like and it was still crooked so I went back it to talk to owner and then I saw the worker run to my car to try to fix what he didn't fix at first. I wanted my money back because it wasn't done correctly and he was rude, walked off on me after telling me he wasn't giving me anything back because he had to pay his guys labor to replace my light and I said well they didn't know what they was doing and in the process broke something. I showed him my receipt of $467 that was paid to his shop for a service that I now have to pay some one else to do right. He didn't care. I also took pictures of my light sitting crooked and my piece that was broken in my trunk they took it I guess to conceal what they had broke. And they weren't honest in telling me what happened. I guess they thought I was a woman that doesn't pay attention to her vehicles but I do.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back for my services done INCORRECTLY. If they couldn't perform it they should not have taken the job and said 'we can do it'. I did not want my stuff broken up not to mention covered up thinking that I wasn't gonna find out.
