Review: LP wrote a proposal that was accepted within 24 hours. In said proposal, there were detailed start dates and information pertaining to the product (residential concrete walkway) to be received that were not provided by this business. The start date and completion dates were thoroughly discussed and LP agreed to finish the job by a certain date; when that date came and went without any work started (except the removal of my perfectly good steps), he claimed that we agreed on the same date, only a month later. I stated that I would use another contractor unless he was able to offer me a better deal. LP agreed to provide and install walkway lights if I agreed to contract his company, so I agreed. LP asked for half of the money, up front to purchase supplies, which I thought was strange, but, I provided it. LP stated that he would remove the sod and existing steps, provide a 4" base of compact gravel. LP removed my existing steps/walkway and left the job for 13 days. He only dug out the organic material (Sod/grass) near his forms and threw loose chunks of broken concrete- not gravel and not 4" in most places. After multiple days of delay, I was promised a complete job by certain dates that were also not met. I requested that LP provide and install the lighting and finish the forms prior to scheduling a truck, but LP ignored my requests. The concrete truck arrived 17 days after the original agreed date of completion and the lights were not installed prior to the trucks arrival. LP scrambled to install lighting and in so doing, cut an existing wire to a different exterior light fixture, blowing a GFI in the house. This accident was fixed at the home owners' time and expense because LP denied responsibility or liability. 3 of 8 lights do not work at all. 2 wires and fixture tags are exposed through the concrete surface. When confronted with this issue- LP explained that it wasn't a big deal because its exterior wire; however, I disagree. Its exposed wire (you can see it) through the concrete surface, we live in a snowy climate, where I will shovel snow and eventually cut the wire. Wire will also cause a surface gap, even if its minor, water may penetrate and expand. Also, when illuminated, the 5 lights that do work are not aligned to the center of the house. There were multiple areas of the concrete that have chunks missing- one of which was "fixed" with different colored material, the day after it was poured. The yard around the job was left a mess, ie, chunks of sod laying around, gravel in mulch beds, paint chipped of door frame from pressure washer. 3 days after the concrete set, I contacted LP with my issues, he agreed to fix the problems on the following Friday, but he didn't show, again. I contacted him the following Tuesday and he asked why I am suddenly telling him about the problems, as if we didn't have any discussion the week before. I requested a partial refund and LP communicated with me via text regarding my lack of satisfaction with the job. In response to my text, he stated that he would meet me someplace, inferring he wanted to fight me, and that he wasn't afraid of me. It was really strange. Documents of our communication have been preserved. This business and its employees were completely unprepared, unprofessional, and provided a sloppy product. I am embarrassed to have an incomplete walkway that will require major construction to fix. All in all, it was a completely frustrating process and I'm thoroughly disappointed with the product.Desired Settlement: I will accept $1000.00 in the form a refund. I do not want LP to fix the issues as it has proven an unreliable business.

Review: On or about September 8 2014, LP contracting began work on my new driveway and block mailbox. I left for Florida in late October. I got a call from my son and he said, wait until you see the driveway. Well the driveway already had long cracks in the concrete, the block mailbox was crooked and leaning toward the street. I contacted Mr P[redacted] the owner/contractor. I requested that he look at the driveway and mailbox and repair them. He didn't show any interest in repairing the problems. I contacted him numerous times via phone, email, and text messages. He has accused me, wrongly so, of proving pot to one of his employees. This employee smoke wile he was on the job. Supposedly this employee has been fired, but Mr

P[redacted] is responsible for his own workmanship.

According to his wife when I texted him in November 2015, he was in rehab for something and would be back in December.

I again emailed LP contracting via email business address. No response. The driveway cracks are getting worse and the mailbox is still leaning. Also I brought to Mr. P[redacted]'s attention that the drainage hole that was supposed to be 6 feet deep was, in fact, only 26 inches deep. He told me the first time I told him about all the problems that he would take care of it never screwed anybody.

I had another concrete contractor look at the driveway, he stated, in his opinion that the only way to repair the problems was to dig it up and replace it all. I relayed this information to Mr. P[redacted] and he stated he didn't care what other contractors say. I paid Mr P[redacted] $8600 for the work, some of that was in cash.Desired Settlement: LP Contracting either replace the driveway, fix the mailbox, and dig the runoff hole to 6 ft as agreed. Otherwise refund the money so I can get a new contractor to repair everything.

Review: LP concrete installed concrete steps in the front of my house. 8 of the steps were fine and the one close to the house was dangerous and not what was promised. The 8 steps are curved correctly like his web site shows with the one by the front door promised to be the same, instead it was dangerous and nothing like the others. The owner said he would tear it out and replace it. He smashed out part of it and just left and never returned. WE discussed the issue and tear out Sept 4th and it is now Oct 17th. He has promised numerous times via text and phone conversations to finish and has never come back.Desired Settlement: I would like the job taken care of correctly and within the week.
