Review: I hired this company believing that they were a long time friend of my fathers and they would do right by my family. My house had to be built back up after mold remediation.I paid this company a $33,100 deposit on a 43,000 job. Once they were hired they worked at a slow pace. Trusting, I gave them all the money they asked for upfront by Sept they had more than enough of a deposit to complete the job. They harassed me for money constantly telling me that they needed the money to take care of pay roll and to run their business. They were hired last June 2014 and to date this house is not completed to satisfaction. Everything they did was done wrong. They put my granite counter in wrong because they didn't use a template. There was a 3/4 inch between the granite and the kitchen wall. My new cabinets were put in crooked and they gave me cabinets all scuffed up and gave me a crayon to touch of the scuffs and scratches. They did my bathrooms horrible. The tiles were all crooked and some were cracked in the corners. I kept asking them when they were going to fix it and they kept avoiding it and the secretary said she didn't know. My floors were sanded down horrible and I am in the process of redoing the steps on my own because I cant afford to pay anyone else to fix them. They installed a bamboo floors in my downstairs and the workers didn't even do that right. One of the workers told me he had to come back and kick the floors to make them tighter. When I called the owner to tell him his secretary maryann said Jim (the owner) didn't know what I was talking about. The floors are all buckled. I wasn't able to move back into my home with my children until Jan [redacted] 2015. I had to move back in even though my new contractor was doing the bathroom over. LP ignored my bathroom and had no intentions of fixing it. This company didn't do any of the work to satisfaction. They never did what they were hired to do and are trying to say because they painted and did extras they should be paid in full.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund. I gave them numerous chances to fix things right. Their own worker came to look over the house and couldn't believe how bad of a job was done. He apologized and said he doesn't care about the money that is between me and the owner he just wanted to touch up some of the paint and some of the horrible job the workers did. He called the owner in front of me and told him how bad the job was done.I can prove a full refund is what is fair to me so I can fix my home properly.
