LP Transport

LP Transport was subcontracted by *** of Deleware to move my 1967 *** from South Carolina to Virginia. Upon loading the vehicle, the driver of the moving truck (Salvador) disconnected the battery cable, however, were found negligent by their insurance company for not closing the hood. This action resulted in the hood being caught by the wind, severely damaging the hood, roof, and fenders of the vehicle. They also damaged the rear quarter panel of the vehicle at some point during transport. Their insurance company (***) has determined LP Transport is responsible for the damage, however, LP Transport is self insured for the first $1000 of damage being they are self insured to cover that amount. Walter with LP Transport initially advised the company would pay the $1000, however, they have not sent the money and are no longer communicating with myself or ***. I am requesting they just pay deductible amount to me as directed by their insurance company, without this becoming a legal issue.
