Consumer states that the home insurance company has reimbursed her the out of pocket expenses but still would like LRS Home Services to be held responsible for the cost increase of the utility bills as they were caused by their negligence.

Review: You passed the inspection for the house to be sold, but somehow after a PG&E inspection, there was a water heater damage issue that had been existent for quite some time prior to me moving in on 01/05/2015. It seemed like from the time of the purchase form the seller to when I bought the house, the water heater was turned off. How were you not able to see the damage? There were clear indicators of flooding in the back yard within days of it being turned on. Was this not inspected? Should it had not been inspected before even being placed on the market?Desired Settlement: I am now out $1000.00 for someone's faulty work, and it needs to be taken care of. I'm not sure if that's you, the realtor or the seller, but this house should not had been up for sale if the water heater was damaged.

Business

Response:

After reviewing the complaint against my company, LRS Home Services, I contacted PG&E. They informed me that excessive gas usage began on November 18 2014. This is the date PG&E claims the problem of the water leak from the water heater began. My home inspection was performed on October 27, 2014 (please see attached inspection report). Therefore I could not have noticed this problem at the time of the home inspection.
