Deal with TruWest in person if you are able(if you can find a branch), and call locallyDo not use a general 1-number - do not assume if you are a secondary when your spouse is the primary that you will be able to access the same functionsWe initially became customers of TruWest when financing our new vehicle through the dealership - and generally making payments on the car has been easy as I am able to go to [redacted] (our Primary financial institution) and make the payment through the beauty of shared services within the credit union systemDealing with the TruWest credit card division is a different matter, and they do not use shared servicesThey encourage you to go paperless (or pay a fee for paper billing), but making a payment online is not an easy, seamless transaction, authorization codes frequently "expire" and you will constantly need to "verify" information through a tedious process at each step when all you really should be able to do is click "Make Payment" and pay your bill! Calling to speak to a live person vial the 1-number is also fraught with hoop-jumping and they will eventually stone-wall you and tell you they are very sorry but they cannot access your account; I have had better luck hanging up and calling the local number, - however I also have had them "accidentally" credit the wrong account (ie - the credit card payment ended up being made to the car payment, and more than once - only when they call to tell me my card is now delinquent have they been able to magically clear up the issue)I understand fraud is rampant and financial centers need to be careful, but a simpler pay process makes the difference in our decision to close out any accounts with this company

I am a TruWest CU account holder I have checking, savings, a TW VISA card and a used RV loan with them My wife and I recently wanted to upgrade to a brand new RV The TruWest new RV loan application process is coined as a "100% financing" loan This would lead a person to believe that TW will loan upto the manufacturer's MSRP on the RV NOTHING could be further from the truth After you've been hooked and allowed your credit to be pulled, they spring on you that they "only loan 100% of the dealer invoice." What does this mean? It means that they will literally only loan you an amount a money that is equal to DEALER COST What kind of sorcery is this? I can see asking a customer to cover things like dealer fees, licensing ...maybe even sales tax But you won't finance the PROFIT the dealer is trying to make a living on? What RV dealer in their right mind would ever want to work with TruWest? My wife and I have excellent credit, and suffice to say will be getting financing elsewhere for our new RV Additionally, I am feverishly working to completely sever my financial ties to TruWest Credit Union

I understand, we took a responsibility to make payments in a timely manner, HOWEVER sometimes we just can'tThere is NO reason that this company should call my husband's ex-wife to track me downIs this legal?!? And where on earth are they searching to where her name would pop up? They call my work and are extremely rude to the receptionistWhy?!? Get another job is you hate life to be mean to people who have done nothingThis means you Lupe!!! I can't wait to finish this loanNever again will I deal with them

I've been with Truwest for over years and over the last two months I received a phone call from a rep named April in TempeBoth times she was flat out rude as if I had inconvenienced her in some wayShe was not being clear in her communication and when I clearly didnt understand what she meant she sighed a couple of timesShe wouldn't give me the corporate address so I could file a complaint, I asked her manager Lesley and she just like April has poor customer service skills when I told her Aprils rudeness really makes me consider closing my account she said nothing to acknowledge how disgusted I was with the customer serviceI am closing my account after many years once I get my initial matter resolved And I will not recommend them to any more family or friends

Worst bank that ever sent did nothing help me I am done

I ended up refinancing my car with one year left They basically would pull money out of my account with no auto payment method set up So every month would go this way My car payment was due on the 2nd of every month That would be paid on time Then they would pull another payment somewhere between the 14th through the 17thIt was never on the same day this "auto pay" would hit After talking to numerous customer reps, and looking through their system None of them were able to find any kind of auto pay
So the last straw was after they pulled money out again, like they do every month After calling in again, to have this reversedI was told that I would be charged bucks to activate a stop payment on an auto pay that I never set up
So I refinanced my car for months to get away from this nonsense I would rather pay years more than deal with them again

My husband passed away in JulyIn November/December I went to see about collecting the $policy we supposedly had (found out I didn't need to go through the credit union at all)The minute they found out he had deceased they started closing the accounts we had as I was not the "primary" member on a joint account
This has caused all kinds of problems for meMy direct deposits couldn't be deposited because they closed the accountI called the companies that send the deposits when I found out they were going to close everything but it takes awhile for their system to catch up with requestsAs a result of this I have a $1500+ deposit that should have been credited on January floating around somewhereThey also took it upon themselves to return MY JUNE Social Security payment which took me even further down their rabbit holeThe SS office contacted me because they had no clue why it had been returnedI had to prove to them I wasn't "dead"SS office was great to deal with, they credited my new account back within a couple of days of calling them and my January payment will be credited tomorrow to my new accountToo bad TruWest can't be as easy to deal with
Now they are calling me about being past due on my LOC payment and Visa card...guess what? They aren't sending me statements and have closed my online access to be able to make payments and see what payments are due and when
My automatic deductions are being returned since the account has been closed and again, it takes awhile for these companies to get the new information in their systemI hope I still have health insurance when they are done messing my life up
Checks have been returned "account closed"
I banked with them since the 70s, when it was Motorola Employees Credit UnionI stayed with them when my husband retired even though it wasn't convenient because of the locations but felt some loyalty after all those yearsI am so glad to be done with them and am hopeful *** *** ** won't be such jerks
When I withdrew my funds (before they took them too) the employee made the comment "you want to withdraw your husband's money?" IT WAS OUR money and as he had been dead since July it was at that point MY money! A one star rating for negative isn't good enough, it needs a below zero option

I called customer service times regarding payments not posting to my accountI was told on the initial call that I would receive a call backI never received a call back and continued to receiver collections calls from themI called back and spoke with a representative who told me I just needed to make another payment, I did so immediately after the callAfter business days there was no change reflected on the account so I called backI was sent to a supervisor withOUT requesting one and the supervisor (Terry) was extremely rude and aggressiveShe stated I didn’t like her answers and that I was rude and to stop interrupting herShe continued to raise her voice at me and be aggressiveI did not interrupt her and stopped speaking when she was, except to say excuse me, please don’t yell at me, I’m trying to understand and resolve he issueShe would not answer my questions or tell me how she intended to research the issueI asked for her supervisor and she said she had none

I have made several request of this credit union via phone to receive a paper statement Each time the attending person pretends that they have taken care of my request and assures me I will receive a paper statement, for the next billing cycle The bill never comes This evening I called again The person told me I need to call Member services during the day

Very unprofessional companyThey had failed to mention I need to change my auto pay date when I called in to change my due date on my loanHow does this make any sense? Now, I have to deal with the overages I wasn’t prepared forThis credit union is a joke and need to train their employees more thoroughly Very disappointed

I have my vehicle loan through this credit union It has been a huge hassle to make every payment and I was treated absolutely horribly by the collections department manager and everyone in the department while trying to make a paymentThey cant accept debit or credit, cant accept online payments unless you have a hard wired device and charge for phone paymentsSorry I wasnt psychic to know they would stop accepting mobile device payments and their tech support would not know that after talking to multiple people multiple timesThe payment was late due to thier online system not working and tech support not being able to get it to workSpent lots of time on the phone with customer service and tech support and only wanted the "convenience" fee waived to make my payment that the system wouldn't let me makeI don't think it's right to charge a fee when it's the only reasonable way to make a paymentI didn't realize I was such an irresponsible loser after I spent years of college so I could be financially secure until they told meThe manager mentioned multiple times the total amount of my loan to remind me how I should prioritize my financesI could have just paid the fee and be done with it, but it's just wrongI don't appreciate being talked down to and accused of struggling financially after explaining multiple times it was late due to thier system and thier representatives telling me to wait until it was fixed so I wouldn't have to pay the $feeThe collections department even accused me of lying about talking to multiple representatives and told me I should have known to call collections directly when the payment wasn't even late yet? Yes people, inconvenience IS a reason for a payment to be late!!!! I'm sorry I didn't take time off work to drive to a branch or buy a new computer that wasn't mobile just so I could pay after being told by you to wait until the system was fixed!

The Credit Union informed me that I would be charged $per sheet to get my statements re-mailed or even emailed to meI was not informed of this cost when I signed up for my account
While on the phone, I was told by the manager (Katy #***) that I have no other option but to pay the money to get my statements I told her that I have been a loyal customer and have a personal and business account with themHer tone and approach to the situation made me feel completely devalued as a customer and I will be leaving the Credit Union because of thisThis was not the first thing that was inconvenient about banking here, just the final straw
