I have used Sheni's as an alternative to the mini dealership to service my convertible for the last couple of years and am very happy to do so! I live 2 minutes from the mini at crowfoot and choose to drive across the city to deal with Sheni and his team who do everything they can to provide excellent service in every way. Prices are fair and the work done is quality and reliable. They have done work on my soft top that has solved a mechanical problem that the dealership said needed a new roof to the tune of over [redacted] Sheni and his team looked for a solution that the dealership was not willing to look for and solved the problem for a fraction of the cost. They are scrupulous and honest. Highly recommended!
Sheni's is down to earth and their work is measured. No pretense, the service is about maintaining higher end vehicles and their components well. As a customer, I feel well informed by Sheni's and trust their recommendations and work. No hidden charges or superfluous work that runs the bill up. Highly recommended. As my MB diesel approaches out-of-warranty date, I can't imagine taking my vehicle to the dealer when I could rely on Sheni's
Terrible work done on my M5 motor (S62). They took almost 2 months just to assemble my brand new motor only. Sheni's response was that his mechanic needs time to remember how everything goes back together because so much time has passed since it was disassembled (also done by Sheni). I moved to Toronto 2 years ago with my car and there are issues with my VANOS making noise currently (not Sheni's fault, just a maintenance item). I have been informed by my mechanic that many of the installation steps that required seals and gaskets in the motor were not installed. Silicone was used in places where gaskets should have been installed and there was a lack of silicone in a location where my engine has developed an oil leak as a result. There were also 2 failed bolts that were incorrectly tightened and I had a major oil leak in the front of the engine due to this lack of professional knowledge. I called Sheni and the shop manager brushed me off and didn't let me explain my issue after I told him that I have pictures of the failure. He claimed that he would tell Sheni to call me and discuss it and then proceeded to ignore any further communications from me. Sheni never contacted me either. I requested pictures of my engine build that they had promised me many times, but they ignored my requests for that as well.
In the end it was a major mistake taking my car to Sheni's shop because the mechanic that was his so called M specialist, didn't have a clue on some basic things that should have been performed. Sheni's service after the fact was also non existent. I highly recommend that anyone looking to do major work on their car take it to a qualified and competent shop. Sheni's should be used only for basic maintenance where not much skill nor knowledge is required. Truly disappointed with them.
Its the first time I took my X5 for service other than the BMW dealership, and receiver the same excellent attention and service! I will be returning to Sheni"s Auto Trend Inc and would highly recommend them.
