Lube Inc., a Colorado Corporation Reviews (1)
An oil change caused my rear main seal to fail.
My truck was overfilled with oil.
I had my oil changed in my truck 0n December 5th. On the invoice a minor oil pan leak and a transmission pan leak were noted. Within 2 weeks I had driven approx 300 miles and noticed a puddle of oil under my truck when parked. I returned to Jiffy Lude and had them examine my truck. I was told the rear main seal was leaking. I asked them check the oil level and it was just below full on the dipstick. The Manager was not available and I was told to call after that week. I contacted the corporate office and finally received a reply from [redacted] on Jan 10th. I drove an additional 100 miles and checked the oil level. It was 1/3 of a quart low. I believe that it was overfilled by at least a quart which caused the seal to fail. I will fax a copy of his statement and my reply.
