Dear *** ***,We have received a letter from you with a complain against us from *** ***.*** brought to us last July her Chevrolet HHR(145,miles) asking us for an oil changewhen we raised the car up to change the oil we found a fuel leak coming from the gas
tank, we advised her to fix it for her safety, but she refused(she has no money), then we have drained the motor oil(it was low and very dark like never been serviced before), we changed the oil filter and we filled up the motor with quarts of 5WOilShe drove the car miles to her apartment then she called us complaining about our oil change and she heard a lot of noises coming from the engineWe went there to help her, and she told us after she took the car from us, she heard something underneath the car made loud noise, she did not stop to see what is wrong(because she was in a hurry) and she continued driving it for miles till the car stopped.We towed the car back to our shop, and we raised it up to check it out, we found the car was soaked with oil from underneath,we did inspect the oil filter and it was mounted tight, and we checked the oil pan drain plug, it was tight also, but we found a fresh crack on the oil pan caused by a hit from underneath, either a rock or curb, but for sure it was not there when we changed the oil, otherwise our Auto-tech would catch it.(he caught the fuel leak, so he would be able to catch a cracked oil pan), I showed it to *** and we took pictures(attached),she started screaming and crying, so we told her we can replace the oil pan for you with a used one and we will not charge you anything but you (***)has to understand that this was not our fault, but we are doing this just to help you and to build a client She agreed to that, and we told her if we do that we can not warranty it, when you heard a noise while you were driving, you should stop and check what is going on, or at least bring the car back to us,to let us check it, she told me that she was in a hurryWe replaced the Oil pan and we filled up the with oil, then we called her to pick it up(it ran perfect),but still has a fuel leak, she asked us to fix it for free, we told her we can not fix it for free because it is expensive to fix,she said if you will not fix it ,I will put bad reviews on your company, I will complain for the Revdex.com, and maybe take you to courtWe told her we are sorry to hear that, but still we can not fix the fuel leak for free.Now she is putting bad reviews against our company and complaining to Revdex.com.We believe that we treated *** good, but she wants to take more advantages of us by putting a pressure on us.Please feel free to contact us anytime.Lube It Or Lose It/ Management
