[redacted] brought the vehicle back to the car lot with the door handles ripped off. Please find attached a breakdown of the bill given to [redacted] when he returned the vehicle. When I spoke to [redacted] initially, he explained to me that there was an incident in front of his house, that someone tried to break into the car, and he came outside in the morning for work and found that the door handles had been ripped off the vehicle. He also advised me that he spoke to his insurance company and they agreed to pay for the damage to the vehicle; however, we have not heard from [redacted] insurance company in regard to this matter. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any other questions.

Review: I went to [redacted] to purchase a preowned vehicle. Dispite the dealerships reputation , I decided to give my business because of the extensive relationship one of the salesman had with my father. The salesman [redacted] agree to accept my [redacted] as a trade in and told me he can give me $500 for it even if it had to come out of his pocket.he knew the car had to b towed. I also gave $300 debit transaction as a down **yment .I returned one car because it was in multiple accidents and had major body and frame damage which was brought to my attention by my mechanic, once I brought the car back they agreed to put me in another car in the same price bracket which was a scam because the 2004 [redacted] is worth $5142-6900 and they charged me $10128 for it so I returned the car and now they did not return my down **yment nor my trade which was junked and I still own the title. I was told that I owe towing and documentation fees for them typing a purchase order and if it goes to court id have to **y $10,128Desired Settlement: $300+ trade in value

Response:

[redacted] purchased a 2007 [redacted] from our com**ny and put a deposit of $300.00. Her trade-in was a [redacted] that she said had a bad battery and requested that we tow the car from her house. When we sent our (2) drivers from [redacted] to pick up the car, we discovered that the motor and transmission were both defective and the car was of "junk" value.

After [redacted] drove the [redacted] a few days, her mechanic informed her that there had been prior damage that was previously re**ired, but may not **ss ** inspection.

We promptly allowed [redacted] to return the [redacted] and showed her a [redacted]. After she test drove the Matrix, we negotiated a fair price, and she signed the purchase contract and drove the car home. A few days later, she returned with her mom, [redacted], and informed us that the interest rate on the financing was too high. I informed [redacted] that the rate was based on her poor credit rating, and suggested that her mom call the [redacted] for a loan.

Ms. Thomas’ mom, [redacted], called the [redacted] from my office and spoke to a credit representative, who indicated that they could accommodate her for a low interest loan.

[redacted] then took the car home for another few days as our office presumed that they were going forward with the loan. Several days later, [redacted] and her mom returned, [redacted] very rudely stated to me that she was returning the car and would not co-sign the loan papers for [redacted]

Nevertheless, to end this transaction, we returned [redacted] $300.00 deposit, and informed her that her "junk" trade-in was parked at the salvage yard. The owner of the salvage yard called me and informed that he paid [redacted] the salvage price for the "junk" car.
