Response to the complaint: My company was hired by Mr [redacted] back in June of We started working on his project immediatelyWe finished the plans as required as agreed with Mr***We never gave him any time frame for the issuance of permit as this is beyond our control After this Mr [redacted] took extended time off (vacation / contractor issues) on this project which exceeded to more than monthsHe changed the scope of work by changing the rear portion (of this story, unit building) by moving the exterior walls from original location but we still complied with this change without any extra charge and revised the plans again which was not part of my originally agreed upon scope We had applied for the permit in November of I did not give any time frame to obtain the permit as the review and issuance of permit can take very long time depending on City of Chicago Building department review processSo its impossible to put any time frame on obtaining the permit I also gave Mr [redacted] (owner) an option to expedite the review process by resubmitting the application through other resources but he declined to take that optionWe did extra work to help our client without charging any additional payment and continue to do so until now Due to the changes made by the owner (Mr [redacted] ***) and the changes requested by the Project Manager from City of Chicago, we had made revisions to the permit plansThe latest revisions are being submitted today (September 19, 2017) We are diligently working on this project and trying our best to resolve the review comments in a timely manner based on available resources and other project work load Please let me know if you have any questions Best Regards, [redacted] ***, SE, PE Owner/President Lucid Engineering Services Group, LLC [redacted] , Bloomingdale, IL-

He changed the scope of work by changing the rear portion (of this 2 story, 2 unit building) by moving the exterior walls from original location but we still complied with this change without any extra charge and revised the plans again which was not part of my originally agreed upon scope.   We had applied for the permit in November of 2016. I did not give any time frame to obtain the permit as the review and issuance of permit can take very long time depending on City of Chicago Building department review process. So its impossible to put any time frame on obtaining the permit.   I also gave Mr. [redacted] (owner) an option to expedite the review process by resubmitting the application through other resources but he declined to take that option. We did extra work to help our client without charging any additional payment and continue to do so until now.   Due to the changes made by the owner (Mr. [redacted]) and the changes requested by the Project Manager from City of Chicago, we had made 4 revisions to the permit plans.
