Lucilles Smokehouse BBQ

Review: On December 27, 2014 my husband and I met some relatives at the Lucilles in Lake Forest. We sat ourselves in the bar and waited for 10-15 minutes before anyone acknowledged our presence. When the waiter [redacted] brought the menus, he threw them down on the table and walked away. It was several more minutes before he returned to take our drink order. When he did return, his attitude seemed very impatient. Eventually when he brought the drinks, again, he seemed to slam them down on the table and abruptly walk away. When our guests arrived, they experienced the same rude behavior. I had ordered a bottle of wine but [redacted] never once came back to refill the non-alcoholic drinks. We finished our meal and asked for the check, I offered to pay for dinner because I had gotten several Lucilles gift cards for Christmas. I paid for the meal and was hoping that the others would cover the tip. None of us at the table felt that he deserved a tip so none was left. As we were leaving [redacted] followed us and proceeded to berate me as to why I didnt leave a tip telling that he couldnt give us better service because he was waiting on too many other tables. I asked to speak with the manager, but the female manager on duty refused to talk to us. Another young man identifying himself as the assistant manager apologized yet did nothing to compensate us for the horrible experience we were having. I told him that if our waiter had too many tables then that was not MY problem that was HIS problem.I LOVE Lucilles food!!! I have been to six of their locations and regularly have lunch with some of my girlfriends at the one on Long Beach. BUT I WILL NEVER EVER EAT AT THIS ONE AGAIN!!!Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)

Management should focus on staffing enough waiters and waitresses for the weekend shift. They should also advise their employees that TIPS are "To Insure Prompt Service" and should not be expected. And that staff should absolutely NOT approach a customer to complain about not receiving one.
