Review: I met with this "mother daughter" photography team in August and produced them a $250.00 cash deposit to hold my wedding date of April 19, 2014. They did not explained to me in this initial meeting that one photographer was more skilled than the other. I was also not aware that one could not function with out the other. I never would have signed with this photography company knowing this.On February 29, 2014, I had a agreed and planned time of 12:30 pm to have my bridal portraits done by Lucy Rae Photography. I received a confirmation at around 9:30 am on Friday, February 28, 2014 from [redacted], one of the photographers that my session was still on. At around 2:00pm that Friay I received a 'Facebook' message from [redacted] telling me her mother is sick and they cannot do the shoot any longer. I paid to have my dress pressed and cleaned, hair and make up appointments, bought jewelry, shoes, had my maid of honor travel three hours to come visit me to help with the shoot.I also took off work at my second job. In all I spent about $250.00 getting ready for these pictures. [redacted] was very apathetic when my coordinator called her about this issue and didn't even offer to find a replacement photographer until legal action was brought up around 9:30-10:00 pm on February 28, 2014 by my coordinator.I have emailed the photography company two times, called them twice, and all I have received is a 100.00 dollar check and a letter claiming they have an attorney. I feel like a full refund is due because not only did I lose money due to their less than 24 hour cancellation, I also had to find a photographer that was more expensive for my wedding due to the fact that I was not going to take a chance with this photography team being in charge of wedding photos. What bride would stay in a contract with a photographer who clearly breached their contract according to the terms. Offering a replacement at 10:00 at night before the shoot is unacceptable.who would you find who is as skilled in less than 8 hours especially as late as 10:00 pm.Desired Settlement: $250.00, which is the deposit I placed down for them as a wedding photographer and bridal portrait photographer.
