I was scheduled to attend a microblading class at the Lucy Hart Inc. in Studio City CA but had to cancel due to doctors orders and lost $*** deposit
I was scheduled to attend a microblading class at the Lucy Hart Inc. in Studio City, CA but had to cancel due to doctors orders and lost $*** deposit. The initial 3 day class was scheduled for 2/24-27/2020. I paid the $*** deposit and had $*** remaining for the class. Upon scheduling this class I had no idea that my infertility medical journey would interfere medically with this class. At first I called Lucy Hart Inc. and spoke to *** about the need to push back the class due to medical complications and per my dr. orders. She agreed and said I could attend the class in March. After further medical testing and medical issues, my doctor advised me against travel hence my need to cancel the training w/ Lucy Hart Inc. I contacted *** and advised her of this situation. She was very unapologetic and matter of fact regarding their no refund policy. I told her this was not my decision, it was due to medical reasons. She did not offer any remedy. I asked if I cold have a credit there for the amount paid to be used in services at a later time. She did not agree.

Desired Outcome

Initially I had asked for a store credit because I was willing to work with them and show them I valued their policy and of no fault of my own I had to cancel as this was extreme circumstances. However, based on the lack of empathy by their part I would like my money back.

Hello there! This letter was just handed to me by my neighbor. Unfortunately I have not seen this letter until just 10 minutes ago. It seems it got lost in their mail instead of being sent to our studio. We have a non refundable policy for all of our classes and when *** signed up and paid her deposit she was well aware of our terms. When she called to cancel her registration knowing very well that all deposits for class registration is non refundable she asked if we would be able to use this deposit for a service. We asked her how would you be able to come here for a service if you are not able to fly? She had really no answer. We did give *** the option to use this deposit for a future class and she was not happy about that. Unfortunately we have to stick to our policy with everybody we cannot pick and choose who we hold our policy with and who we do not it's just not. Every company has a policy.

I'd welcome them to show me the signed copy of what I signed. I don't recall signing as was all done online. Furthermore, I asked for the service credit to be left there upon my clearance from my doctor. If it meant not using right away I was ok with that.
