Ludlow Heating and Cooling, Inc. Reviews (2)
I ordered 100 gallons oh home heating oil from ludlow oil and they delivered 117 gallons and are trying to make me pay for the extra oil. extra [redacted]I ordered 100 gallons of oil from ludlow oil on 1/27/14 and it was delivered today 1/28/14.They delivered a extra 17 gallons by mistake stating it was a error on there end and billed me for the entire 117 gallons. A extra charge of [redacted] and change.I called to ask why the bill they left onmy door stated 117 gallons when I asked for only 100 gallons and the customer service rep was rude and stated it was a mistake on there end but no big deal. When I explained that I did not want to pay for something I did not order they stated they would come pumpm it out. I asked them not to as this would be a mess and a hazard if oil spills on the ground outside my house. She then started to raise her voice telling me forget it and I dont have to pay for the extra 17 gallons if itrs such a finacialhardship.I feel it was there mistake and how they spoke to me and my wife over the phone was very rude and unexpected.Desired SettlementI just dont want to pay for the extra 17 gallons of oil I did not order.Business Response To Whom It Concern:I spoke with Mrs. [redacted] regarding the oil delivery and explained that the meter did not shut off and the driver pumped 117gallons rather than 100 gallons. She told me she would talk to her husband and get back to us. There did not seem to be an issue at this point.Mr. [redacted] called within 30 minutes of this and that's when the problems started. He accused me being rude to his wife (which was a surprise to me) and would not let me finish a sentence. I tried to explain the problem and did say it was a driver error which seemed to fuel the fire more. I realize that with the weather and price of fuel, tempers rise also. I offered to have the 17 gallons pumped out and before I could offer to discount the overage, he began berating our company and employees. I finally told him to disregard the 17 gallons and explained that I would write it off, but he just kept up his tirade.Needless to say, this conversation was going no where that was going to have a good ending for either party. In the end, Mrs. [redacted] sent a check for the 100 gallons and as far as Ludlow Heating and Cooling, Inc. is concerned, this issue and account have been closed.Sincerely,[redacted]
Due to filing a complaint last year with the Revdex.com on this company Ludlow heating will not service my home or past acct. Stating my acct is cancelled?Due to a past Revdex.com filed complaint from last year on this company for trying to charge me for a extra 17 gallons of oil I did not order they are stating today [redacted] that my acct is cancelled and will not deliver oil to my home. The complaint last year was settled and was not my fault as I only ordered 100 gallons and the companies driver/delivery man pumped too much oil a extra 17 gallons which caused me a hardship if I had to pay for it. I do not think it is fair business practice that I should have to now find another oil delivery company and have to start over because of their mistake.Desired SettlementI think they should reactivate my acct and deliver my oil as I have had a upstanding balance paid in full acct for over seven years. It seems as though I am being retaliated on for the companies mistake and filing a complaint with the Revdex.com.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] - [redacted]Mr. [redacted] account was not cancelled because of his complaint to the Revdex.com, it was cancelled because of the verbal abuse to our office staff. He was not happy with Ludlow Heating, stating we were pulling a scam on him and that we should hire more qualified drivers. The employees of Ludlow Heating & Cooling, Inc. should not be disrespectful to our customers, but nor should they be disrepected Due to his total unhappiness with us, I was very surprised that he even called us. As far as him starting over with another oil company, prior to the [redacted] 2014 delivery (which was the only one last year) his previous delivery was [redacted] This would indicated that he has been dealing with another oil company.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Really surprised they would state this was the case. I use them as a secondary heat source but no other company for oil and I would love to hear the recording of verbal abuse as it was a normal conversation but when they refused to cooperate and made fun of how 17 gallons would create a hardship yes I felt insulted and did not agree with what I was being told. Simply just bad customer service and they can state what they want but I wonder how many times this company adds more to a customers bill when the customer requests only a certain amount. Seems like a scam to me.Final Business Response I refuse to get into a He said/She said situation over a simple oil delivery. The trust on both sides has been compromised and it's time to move on. There are other oil companies servicing this are, and I wish the customer well.
