Thank you for the offer to finish the work; however, staking is no longer needed. My husband has already installed the stakes because it would have been unsafe for a new tree to stand without stakes this long.  We expect nothing else from the company except a receipt stating [redacted] acknowleges that agreed-upon sum is paid in full.

Company states that if she pays the sales tax, they will put two stakes into the ground.

Review: Lueders Lawn Seeding and Trucking installed a tree for us on 4/6/2012, and the service was excellent. One tree was installed, mulched, and staked by a worker, at the agreed upon quote from the owner. [redacted]. This spring I called him and told him we wanted the same quality services: installation of a new tree, plus the removal of an existing dead tree. [redacted] first quoted $1,000, and I told him the price is too high so we are looking for another service for the tree removal. [redacted] then just said, "I can do it for $750 at the lowest". My husband and I agreed to the new price. When the workers came to do the work 3 days ago, I gave them a check for the agreed upon price. [redacted] talked to the workers on the phone and told them that he wants more money: $45 for taxes, and $50 if we want staking, in addition to the quote he had given us before. Our complaint is that [redacted] changed the terms of the agreement without telling us beforehand, because he knew we were looking into another company. He does not have the right to change his services AFTER the fact. Today when I talked to [redacted] on the phone, I told him the taxes are paid because the amount is included in the quote he had given us, like last time. What is more, he broke his agreement by not staking the new tree. I have photos of the previous installation and I have the receipt, which all prove that the previous tree installation included the taxes as well as the staking, and I expected the same service as last time, as per our agreement. [redacted] raised his voice at me, "Well, it does NOT include them this time." He threatened me with "the government" and hung up on me.Desired Settlement: He needs to send me a letter stating clearly that his quote was paid in full as agreed, and apologize for threatening me. I do not want him to come to our property again.

Review: We contracted work with Leuders lawn service on 6/5 for lawn seeding, grading and yard work for $5900. We sent a $3000 deposit to Leuders with the expectation that work would begin shortly after. Mr [redacted] cashed our deposit check immediately and did not submit a plan or check in with the HOA -on 6/6 I inquired to make sure he received it. He said he would come spray weeds with roundup ($15-20 bottle) the next day. He came for 2 hours to spray. Since that date we have followed up with him repeatedly to find out when he could come begin work. We always had to call him and his response was "it was too wet". How would he know?? He never came back?? He gave us no start date, no follow up and no sign of when he would begin. On Sunday June 23 he was supposed to meet me to look at trees to plant. He never showed up and I walked around with a guy who couldn't give me prices bc he said "mr [redacted] only had the prices". On June 26th we became skeptical of his business practices and concerned with mr Leuders lack of responsiveness and determined that we wanted to cancel our contract. We called me [redacted] to discuss he said he hadn't worked since a week prior - and said he would call me back. He did not. I called him Thursday with no response. Friday no response. Saturday we followed up AGAIN and he said his attorney had not gotten back to him??? No where on the contract does it say it can't be voided. I agreed that he should deduct the roundup work, but asked to refund the remainder. I would like my money refunded for the work that was not completed. I do not trust his unethical business practices.Desired Settlement: Mr [redacted] recognizes that he has not completed the work. Not did he give us ANY indication of when he would start. I would like my money back immediately.
