I have enclosed a copy of the original contract that was signed by Mr. [redacted] on August 30, 2014,
not July 29, 2014. We did start work at Mr.[redacted]’s home on September 5, 2014. I had called Mr.[redacted]
the night of September 4,2014 to let him know we would be there the following morning at 7:30am...

to
start his job. We arrived around 7:30am on September5, 2014, knocked on the door several times with
no answer. We started unloading materials, we then proceeded to start to power wash Mr. [redacted]’s
home (I have pictures of before and after enclosed). I wanted to power wash his home before
sandblasting to remove all dirt and debris, that way we didn’t have unnecessary sandblasting where it
could have caused damage to the sandstone. [redacted] my laborer stayed that day for the day power
washing, also came the following day September 6th and September  no one came September
due to weather. On September 9th power washing resumed after about an hour the power washer
broke! [redacted] took it to [redacted] to be repaired. That evening I called Mr.[redacted] to let him know
what had happened and as soon as it was repaired we would resume work. On September 12th I was
contacted by [redacted] to let me know that it was ready for pick up. On September 13th, [redacted]
resumed power washing, that day Mr.[redacted] came outside and told [redacted], “stop! no longer want this
done”. All that was left to power wash was about a 5ftx3oft section on one side of the house (picture is
enclosed) and we hadn’t even begun the sandblasting yet. On September 14th I spoke with Mr.[redacted]
and he stated he no longer wanted the sandblasting done that he just wanted the other work that was
in the contract done. I let him know that the sand was already ordered and that it was to be picked up
the following day and explained why the power washing was done first, he then agreed to continue. On
September 15th [redacted] and I unloaded 30 lOOlb bags of sand into Mr. [redacted]’s driveway and started to
sandblast. The power washer stopped working again! At this point I made a phone call to just rent one
to complete the job. That afternoon I spoke with Mr. [redacted] he again went back to he no longer wanted
the stone sandblasted! I told him I would be there on September 17th to speak with him in person and to
come to a resolution that he and I would both be happy with. I arrived at Mr. [redacted]’s home$eptember
17th knocked on the door multiple times with no answer, also called his phone with no answer. I left his
home because I was not going to do anymore work until we went over everything and had a new
contract signed. On September 18th I went to Mr. [redacted]’s home, he answered the door this time. He
stated he would like me to complete the other work in the original contract, but pay me no more money
for it. At this point Mr. [redacted]’s home had been completely power washed, which had removed mostly
all dirt and debris. I told him I wanted to complete the job, but I could not do that. I offered to knock
$2,000.00 off the original price of sandblasting his home because we had already spent days there
power washing and the only difference in cost and work was the $321.00 that it cost me for the sand
(receipt for sand is enclosed). In my eyes that was more than fair! He refused started yelling and cursing
saying that I was ripping him off and that he was keeping my scaffolding if I didn’t do what he wanted. l
again tried to compromise with Mr. [redacted] several times while loading all my equipment and materials.
He still refused! I cannot purchase materials and pay employees out of my own pocket without making
money. I had no choice but to load my equipment and materials clean up and pull off the job. While
loading, Mr. [redacted] stood in his driveway yelling at us. On September 25th again tried to resolve the
situation. I sent Mr.[redacted] a certified letter giving him three different options (copy of letter and receipt
from post office enclosed) again with no response. I want all my customers happy, but I cannot take
money out of my own pocket to do so, l am a small company and just don’t have the funds to do so.
Thank you and I hope we can all come to some agreement!

On July 30th 2014 I issued 2 checks to [redacted]
one in the amount of 2800.00 and the other for 200.00. Both of the checks were given to
[redacted] on the same day the contract was signed. Copies of the checks are
enclosed.[redacted] dated the contract one month later than when the checks were issued
to him] again have to call your attention to the contract I was paying&being charged to have
the stone on my home to be Sandblasted not Pressure Washed!l don’t care what [redacted]
[redacted] feels. He charged me to sandblast the stone on my home not pressure wash.N0W all
of a sudden Sandblasting could cause damage to my sandstoriebut that’s what he’s
charging me to do not Pressure Washing! On September 5th 2014, [redacted]s
employee showed up at about 8:00 A.M. ad began to pressure wash while [redacted] & his
wife unloaded the scaffolding in my driveway.Mind you 4 bags of sand were unloaded not
30 as he claimed he planned on getting over on me from the get go.After unloading [redacted]
[redacted]7his wife Left& [redacted] Pressure Washed to about 5:00 P.M. On September 6th [redacted]
[redacted]’s employee shcmed up again at about 8:00A.M. worked to about 10:00 AM..
Then the pressure washer broke down. [redacted] left my ladder he was using&my hose in the
middle of my sidewalk and left me to have to clean up after him.At that time L told [redacted] I
wasnt happy with the pressure washing because it barely cleaned the stone, it looked okay
when it was wet but looked the same as it was when it dried.[redacted] advised me to notify
[redacted] which I did and I told him I was dissatisfied with the look of the stone. No one
showed up on September 7th or 8th with no phone call from [redacted] concerning the
status of the job and this is the way this man conducts business!! In his letter to you he
contradicts himself. He’s saying from one side of his mouth I Pressure Washed the stone
because Sandblasting the stone could possibly damage the Sandstone.BUt he’s charging
me to Sandblast the stone not Pressure Wash it! !On September 14th 2014, I spoke to
[redacted]& stated to him I no longer wanted him to do anymore Pressure Washing or
Sand Blasting because I seen through him& at this point his creditability with me was in
question. He was out to rip me off from the very beginning.l told him I only wanted him to
repair my chimney&flueS.l don’t care how many bags of sand he purchased too little too late
they were to be here on day when it began not 2 weeks later what do you read into this??
Furthermore I’ve tried to reach [redacted] because in the process of [redacted] his employee
Pressure Washing my home &windows he damaged the seals in the glass& my windcms
are fogged between the panes of glass] tried reaching him because I want his insurance
information. l want them fixed!! Ultimately why do I have to hold [redacted]’s hand he knew
what he was to do& became upset with me because I found out what type of Businessman
this character is.Sign a new contract hecouldn’t honor the existing one we had what a
joke. Like I stated before 10 hours of work pressure washing is worth 500.00 in anybodies
eyes.l don’t want this man on or near my property.l demand my refund of 2500.00 pIus his
insurance information or the damage his employee caused to my windows. He also states
my home as completely Pressure Washed,he stated earlier in his letter he didn’t do the
whole other side of my home. Furthermore what monies is this man taking out of his pocket
when he already has 3000.00 dollars of my money. [redacted] wanted to resolve this
problem it’s way too late at this point. After all this [redacted] sends me a Certified letter
dictating to me what options I have, who is he the last time I looked this is still The United
States of America!! !l will reiterate I want my 2500.00 CASH reimbursement[redacted]’s
insurance information for the damage done to my hom&s windows.!!

Your total refusal to work out the issues on this job says everything. You tried to claim damage on windows that were already had broken seals. The before and after pictures show top quality workmanship. You never filed a small claims suit because you would have looked foolish to say the least

Review: Cement steps installation issues.

1) Forms were not pulled off before the concrete cured to smooth out the imperfections, instead a skim coat was put on the face of the concrete and is now flaking off.

2) Cement forms was not done properly and cement was not properly poured down below grade, causing a significant gap between the walkway and grade of the house.

3) The transition between the asphalt driveway and steps was incorrectly done. A form should have been used to square off the cement and then cold patch should have been used to fill in the gap between the cement and asphalt driveway.

4) A stone pattern was to be done on the side of the steps, the pattern was not stamped like it should have been done, but drawn with a finger in the skim coat that was placed on to hide the flaws in the cement work.Desired Settlement: Address this issues above or to provide some form of refund.

I drew a pattern in the concrete with my finger, that says enough for any person with common sense, If you want a stone pattern in the side of your step you tell the contractor BEFORE the steps are poured ,not after.

Review: I entered into a contract with Luick and Sons for 2 projects at my home. The work was completed on 8/15/15. In the next few days I uncovered several areas where the work was done incorrectly. An area of backfill around a wall leading to the basement was obviously not backfilled correctly and began sinking immediately. As this continues to sink, my air conditioner unit will be compromised. Concrete which was supposed to be colored dried with inconsistent color--striped in spots. There was an area where the concrete was not completely filled in. Upon leaving, Ralph said he would return with a color chart for the .caulk and seal the concrete. Although Ralph did not include the seal as part of the original written contract, he made a verbal agreement to do it over the phone before I signed the contract. This was important to me since all other bids I received including sealing. I then added that piece to the contract before signing and returning to him. Outside of the original contract, Ralph agreed to do some landscaping for an additional fee. This included planting grass over a large area. The seed they placed was sparse and you could count the inches between each grass seed. I gave Ralph over a week to complete the concrete work but he never returned. I then placed several phone calls to his cell and other phone, left messages, but never received a call back.Desired Settlement: The backfill issues needs to be addressed before additional damage is done. I would like the concrete to be caulked and sealed. The grass needs to be replanted.

Review: ON July 29th 2014 I contracted [redacted] to Sand blast my stone facing on my home & also to repair my chimney & fireplace fire box.On September4th 2014 Mr. [redacted] called me & informed me he was going to start on September5th 2014.He stated he was going to set up the scaffolding to repair my chimney & start sandblasting my stone ficade he never set up the scaffolding to repair chimney & didn't sandblast my stone ficade. He pressurewashed my stone ficade which cleaned the stone a bit but he didn't do what he was charging me to do.Upon my displeasure with the outcome of the pressure washin with water I conveyed my concern to [redacted] & his employee [redacted].Midway thru the pressurewashing his machine broke down,[redacted] never called me to inform me when he was going to return also on top of all this used my ladder&hose left& I had to clean up after his employee.I Again told [redacted] on a phone conversation about my concern about the appearance of my stone ficade he then told me that he was going to sandblast my stone ficade like he was contracted to do.[redacted] showed up on September 15th 2014 with sand & pressurewasher sadblasted an area of 6inchesx6inches again his pressurewasher broke down after 5 minutes!!!He again left leaving his mess for me to clean up.I gave this man 3000.00 to start my job on July 29th 2014&also had the confidence in the contract I had with him in which he misrepresented to me what he was going to do.I told him I no longer wanted him to do any more on my stone ficade just to repair my chimney & firebox I refused to pay 3000.00 dollars for pressurewashing my home which he misrepresented &his employee&[redacted] spent a total of 10 hours at most that"s 300.00 an hour to pressurewash with water that's outrageous ripping me off.All Iwant done at this point is he refund me 2500.00 in CASH or repair my chimney&firebox. At this point his credibility is in question in my eyes!!!Desired Settlement: I believe 2500.00 in CASH or repair my chimney&firebox is in order I would not consider any other settlement options!!!

Response:

I have enclosed a copy of the original contract that was signed by Mr. [redacted] on August 30, 2014,

You really took the time to file the same complaint twice. wow, let's get honest here, you tried to file a complaint against my insurance, claiming we damaged your windows, that was disproved, you tried to have me complete the job for free, and at the end of it all after you received a certified letter trying to resolve our issues, you tried to keep my equipment. That my friend says it all
