I have over thirty years experience with metal buildings and repairs In every job I have worked on, the warranty started the day the contract was signed not when the job was done I have never had any problems with anyone in regards to the warranty that I give in each job We
are a professional company that always honors its commitment I personally inspect each job we do and I could not find anything wrong with the job we did on *** ***s roof.In regards to the sq.ft building, there were three leaks, two of them were on the peaks of the roof and the other by the overhead door *** *** notified me of the leaks and I sent my employees to fix them and they were fixed Then ten months later, he called me that there was another leak over the overhead door, I sent my employee to go check for the leak and and they could not find anything on the roof that would cause the leak so we left it at that Then we had rain again and *** *** called us again said there was another leak on the overhead door Each time we had to go check on a leak, there was never ever any water in the area that would indicate the leak was coming form the overhead door*** *** was never able to produce pictures that would show the leak coming from the overhead door Again we had more rain and received another call from *** ***, this time I hired a subcontractor to see if he could find this leak *** *** indicated that he was going to go up on the roof himself and remove the insulation and screws himself so he could locate the leak and I told him that was not a good idea and he agreed When the subcontractor and I went to check again for the leak, we discovered that *** *** went up on the roof, removed the insulation and tampered with the screws of the eave strut so now he made it worse but I went ahead and told the subcontractor to fix what *** *** had tampered with on the roof He put back new insulation and also checked for the leak again and could not find a leak on the overhead doorOn April 15, 2015, *** *** called again and I told him that the warranty had expired alreadyAs I explained to ***, a warranty on a product starts the day you buy it not the day you use it for the first time I completed the job to the best of my ability but the interference from *** *** caused more damage to the roof I did tell him that the subcontractor gave him a two month warranty for the work he performed *** *** refused for my subcontractor to go out there again As far as I am concerned we completed the job The subcontractor and I did agree that the leak *** *** insists is coming from the overhead door is actually coming from the edge of the wall not the roof I do believe that is the reason we could not locate the leakAgain I do apologize for his confusion on the warranty but I do know my work and I have never had this problems with anyone else
Thank you,

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:[redacted]a's response is not factual. The new roof, not the overhead door, has leaked in many places since it was completed. I contacted [redacted]a over 30 times requesting that the leaks be fixed and he always assured me that he would do so. The tenant occupying the building is upset each time it rains and water leaks onto their tools and equipment. [redacted]a's employees briefly came on 7 occasions over a 10 month period but there was no improvement in the leaking. [redacted]a's response indicated that his subcontractor " ... checked for the leak again and could not find a leak...". However, [redacted]a's email (attached) of March 26 indicated that 5 leaks were fixed in his last attempt. It continues to leak. With respect to the "warranty", the contract was signed Feb 7 and the work was completed 3 months later on May 2, 2015. The rest of the world believes that the warranty begins when the work is completed. If a large project requires a year to complete, is it reasonable that the one year warranty has ended when the owner takes possession ?I have concluded that [redacted]a never intended to stop the leaking because he knows that the cause is improper installation of insulation, roof panels too short,  and cut corners such as omitting closure strips and eave trim.
Regards,
[redacted]
