Luke Electric

If you want a shoddy, untrustworthy electrician give Luke Electric a call. First off, they charge you $269 to come out to inspect your house, then they tell you what they will do and ultimately do nothing they promised. It felt like "bait and switch". I was originally impressed by their attention to detail as they pointed out issues as they walked around house in order to provide an accurate quote. Ultimately, they failed to do any of the items that they pointed out during that initial walk of the house. After paying them over $12k, I ended up having to hire another electrician to finish the work they missed and/or did half-baked. To their credit, they did refund me a whopping $440, which is worthy of at least a one-star rating.
All of Seattle is booming with construction, and it truly showed that these guys could care less about providing good service. My dad ended up getting sick, so I traveled to Michigan for a week with the premise that they had full access to the house and would complete the job while I was away. Instead, they used it as an excuse to walk away themselves and provide service for other customers who had "emergencies." Once I returned home, they hurried to finish the job and the final outcome was a truly rushed job. They had removed outlets and never replaced them. I had to point it out to them. In the end, rather than providing wiring and a circuit for these outlets back to the new panel (provided by Luke Electric) they tapped into the nearby light fixture. Now I have outlets in my basement that continually trip the breakers due to their unprofessional install. I've lived in the house a couple months now, and each day I continue to uncover further electrical issues. They were recommended to us by a friend, who unfortunately probably doesn't know that these guys are amateurs or simply just don't care about doing a good job. I am an Architect that had just moved to Seattle, and I thought I could trust Luke Electric based on a recommendation. However, these guys are definitely on my "never ever use" list as they epitomize the notion of a dishonest contractors.
