Luke's camper repair service ( formally known as paint worx) with [redacted] had agreed to fix the siding on my camper. He had a reasonable price to fix the issue which was a major repair and I dropped the camper at his residence. Weeks after he had finally started work on my camper and removed the side and stated that the price had now gone up because more work would need to be done. I had agreed but not to the full extent of what he wanted to to do. Months and months of the run around, not answering phone calls and so on I desided to make the drive to check on things. Before I deployed he stated that it was done but that was the day I was deploying and I was unable to pick it up. I make the drive to find my camper with a tarp that had failed and the exposed side of my camper wide open to the element/weather he had removed the side and stopped all work after that. I gave him a second chance and he still didn't touch it. I then retrieved my camper and found the siding of my camper under 6" of pine straw. It had been sitting there that long. I took him to small claims court and won for the some of $5,500 which he has yet to pay. If you are considering having him do any work for you please take this in to consideration. Do not make the same mistake as me!","neg-2

I paid 4000.00 dollars to have a new roof installed on my camper if Feb of 2016. The roof cover had several wrinkles in it when he finished. I was told they would go away after several days they only got worse. I contacted them told them of the problem. I was told he would take it back off and redo it. The first date he give me he didnt show up and would not return my calls or text. After several weeks of texting him I told him I was assuming a breech of contract and would be contacting an attorney. he answered me right back give me another date . He didn`t show or respond to that either.Several more weeks passed * finally contacted him again give him 30 days to respond on the 30th day he showed up but with nothing to fix my roof with told me he would be there on thursday to fix it once again he didnt show or call. Its been two weeks since he told me he would call me with another date to redo his work and no response.People like this should be banned from doing work in NC","neg-1

The roof top a/c was removed during repair and when reinstalled it didn't work. Also the estimate for repair was 2800-3200 final bill was 4200.The roof top a/c was removed during repair and once repair was complete it didn't work, also the estimate was for 2800-3200 the final bill was for 4200Desired SettlementRefund of the repair if the a/c 240.00 the cost of repair, travel, and time. Also refund of the 1,000 over the estimateBusiness Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email:[redacted]We drove to the customer's house and gave him an estimate to replace his roof. We made it very clear that it was an estimate, and could be more once the job was started and the roof was tore apart. We told him we do not know the extent of the damage until it is opened up. He agreed for us to perform the work. So we returned to do the work. When the roof was torn apart, we found far worse and more extensive damage. The customer was informed of this extensive damage and even shown the damage before we continued. We informed him that the previous estimate given was gonna be more due to the damage found. The customer was ok with this, so we continued. The damage we found caused us to have to go back for more materials, and caused far more labor, that is why his estimate increased to cover the labor and extra needed materials. When we replace a roof on an camper or rv, we have to simply remove 4 bolts from the inside of the camper and unplug one wire from the ac and slide it about 2 foot out of the way while the new rubber is rolled out. Once the rubber is rolled out, and cut, the ac is set 2 foot back into place and the one plug plugged back in and 4 bolts to hold it in place are put back in. We do not take the cover off of the actual ac unit on the roof. There is no need to. We are not working on the ac, and the cover doesnt need to be removed in order to slide it 2 foot out of the way. The customer blames us for his ac not working now. The ac was not checked before or after the roof installation. There was no need to considering we only have to unplug one wire. And we plugged it back in afterwards. 2 to 3 weeks later, customer contacts us and sends a picture message on both business phones of a bill where he had to have a crimped compressor wire fixed. Blamed us for the wire being messed up and demands we pay for the repair. First of all, 2 to 3 weeks later is a long time to blame us for his ac not working. Second of all, the only way that wire is accessed is if the actual cover of the ac on the rooftop is taken off. We did not take the whole cover off. Just slid the unit 2 foot out of the way, and that has no effect on that wire. He had no proof the ac did or didnt work before the roof installation, and 2 to 3 weeks after we installed the roof, blaming us for his ac being messed up, is not a fair judgement call. In that amount of time, anything could have happened to that ac. The customer did not ask us to reimburse him the cost of this bill, he demanded it. It started out with 5 or 6 emails a day to 2 different emails, to 15 texts to 2 different phones a day. This happened on more than one occasion. If we felt as tho we did something wrong, we would gladly cover the cost, but there is no way possible when that part of the ac unit was not even touched. The refund of the $1000 extra it cost is ridiculous. He was informed before the job was started that the estimate given could go up depending on the damage found when the roof was opened up. He was ok with this. Job was started and far more extensive damage was found, and he was informed of and showed the damage, and was ok with it, so we continued the work. The $1000 extra covered the cost of the extra materials and labor. The customer was informed before, during and after the job that the estimate could go up. After all the demanding texts and emails and we didnt send him the $85 he originally asked for, now it has went from $85 to $240, I dont understand how he justifies this. And the customer wanting the extra $1000 back that it cost to repair the damage, has only come up the day this complaint was filed. Nothing has been said about this before then.We are not responsible for the ac problems and we did a service to him and kept him informed through the entire process. We did what we were supposed to do.Consumer Response good morning, thank you for your assistance in resolving this issue. Luke's Camper & RV Repairs is a company that is owned by [redacted] and co owned by [redacted] and has been in business for 15 years. [redacted] had come to my home and gave and estimate for the replacement of the RV roof plus some interior repairs for $2800.00 at best and $3200.00 at worst. this was the only estimate received [redacted] never provided a updated estimate once additional damage was discovered the only warning was when I took my dog out was [redacted] saying from the roof was [redacted] looks like there is more damage then I thought. So in my mine I'm thinking ok $3200.00. It wasn't until the job was complete that more damage meant $1000.00 more to repair. It was discovered during the work that the roof top a/c didn't work when [redacted] wanted to run it during the interior repairs. The roof top a/c was not checked for proper operation prior to removal so there was no way to prove that it worked [redacted] and [redacted] checked the a/c and found a wire to the compressor had been broken. I asother than my word. The work was completed on 5/15/15 and I took the RV on 5/21/15 to [redacted] how he thought this may have happened and he said it looked as though it was pulled during removal. I sent [redacted] a copy of the a/c repair as she requested. Yes I tried to contact both [redacted] and [redacted] to be reimbursed for the repair and was told by [redacted] to be patient or the checks in the mail.
