Review: I purchased a sheer, beaded garment from Lulu.ish. I tried the dress on in the store, but due to the sheer nature of the dress it was difficult to see any imperfections. I made the purchase late Sunday afternoon, brought it home, and tried it on with a black slip underneath. This is when I noticed the dress was damaged. There was fraying and multiple areas of missing beading. I called the store first thing the next morning as soon as they opened to discuss my issue. The sales associate was very pleasant and kindly asked me to return to the store for me refund. Upon returning to the store I was told I would only be issued store credit which I did not want since the store is nowhere close to home. There was also no other dress in my size so I was unable to make an exchange. I was instructed to return back when the store owner was available. I called the next day to see if he was available and was told to come in on Wed. or Thurs. I called the store Thurs. before arriving to confirm the owner's availability. I was told he was present but I would NOT receive a refund for my damaged garment. Not only was the owner extremely rude and unprofessional, but he REFUSED to speak with me directly on the phone. I could only hear his responses in the background. The receipt does state that they do not accept returns, however; nowhere does is have any information on damaged merchandise and NEVER was I asked to acknowledge this. I clearly did not wear the dress and the damage is extensive enough that I will not wear it in the future. Not only am I disappointed in losing the $88.00 on a dress I cannot wear, but I am EXTREMELY dissatisfied with the complete unprofessionalism and rudeness of the management at Lulu.ish. Refusal to even see or speak with a customer and to accept that a damaged garment left the store with REFUSAL for a refund is absolute poor business managerial skills. Eighty-eight dollars is a good deal of money, and the lack of understanding was very disheartening and disappointing.Desired Settlement: I would like the refund of my $88.00 for the dress I was sold which is damaged and unwearable. I do not desire store credit, as I do not live close by, and due to my poor experience with the business owner, I do not wish to return to this store. I will gladly return the unworn garment to the store directly when my refund is confirmed.
