NOTE: I am writing this review on behalf of my parents who believe they have been mis-treated.
Dave's Tree Service came out on Friday, April 8, 2016, they provided a quote, but it was higher than his competition. Without approval they came out on Monday, April 11, 2016 and started the job. When they were told to stop, the foreman or owner asked to speak off to the side, away from his employees (why didn't he want anyone else to hear?). The "secretary/co-owner" said that they received a verbal "go ahead" on Thursday, April 7, 2016; however they hadn't even provided a quote by that date. They had been out and quoted the job on Friday, April 8, 2016; but the quote is physically dated April 9, 2016??? When questioned the secretary just replied that they'd file suit! They finished cutting down one tree, but cut off more than they were supposed to on another, and then left a pickup truck load of wood shavings and said that they weren't taking them if they had to match their competitor's price!
Very questionable business practices. I would STRONGLY suggest going with a more reputable tree service.
