My husband and I went in to purchase a car for *HIM*We were in no big rushHe had a functioning car but we knew it was about time to seriously think about replacing itOur primary goal in buying a new car was to allow us to build up a credit historyWe had managed to live credit card free and so had no credit scoreWe knew this would cause some difficulty when it came time to house hunt down the line.My experience was not good from the get goTook me a bit to get someone to help meAfter working for a few hours with the salesman, he passed [redacted] off to someone elseAfter a long day of negotiations, my husband had to leave (he works nights)We offered several times to come back the next day to finish upThey put on a lot of pressure for us to get it done that dayThey assured me that they had everything they needed and persuaded me to stay behind to finish up the saleAt that point I was dealing directly with the managerShe did not make me comfortable at all, but by that point I just wanted to get it doneMy kids were getting cranky, tired, hungrySo...after everything is signed & sealed I come to realized they had switched out all our originally agreed upon joint financing paperwork so that the loan/car is individually financed in my name onlySo my husband has been paying his car payment faithfully for a year now, but still has no credit scoreWe did go back to try to get them to fix it or refinance to get his name on the loanSince we still owe more on the car than it is worth, nobody will refinanceThe manager basically told my it was my own fault for not reading everything before I signedFair enoughStill, what they did deliberately not disclosing the changes they made, is highly unethicalI would not deal with them again, and suggest others take their business elsewhere as well
