Initial Business Response /* (1000, 15, 2016/02/18) */
Re: Case #XXXXXXXX
Our jobsite address was ***, XXXXX Neighbors of *** ResidenceTheir driveways were initially together no separation seems like if they were poured together at the same timeWe broke our
client's driveway on December 4th 2015, again there was no line or separation dividing property linesWe saved all concrete that was broken out to reuse as recycled driveway, at the upper area of about 6" wide by 18" inches broke off from yate's property broke off and in the middle area 6" inch by 2'feet also broke off, those areas were at one time low planters with plants u will see if you google map their addressIn the upper area of the driveway we discovered a 4" inch clay pipe that drained into planters, it was not broken at that time, we conserved it as existingOn the morning Saturday December 5, 2015, about 7:am we started work and placing broke pieces of concrete on our client's driveway, I *** *** notices Mr*** parked on his driveway and glancing at our crew never said or mentioned any word to usHe started to walk towards the residence we were working on and as he was passing ** I *** *** asked if we could help him in any way, He *** *** never said a word, or responded to meI assumed something was wrong but could never get an answer as for what was wrong, never called my office or asked to speak to supervisor,
By mid-day our clients got home and he was able to speak to them but again never specified to speak to me or called my officeAs days and weeks went by my clients mentioned that Mr*** had an issue with the concrete being missing, so we repaired the middle section of the driveway 6" inch by 2'feet, considering that his existing concrete is old it did not match, but we did not hear or my clients did not hear from Mr*** as time went onOn the week of December 28th My client called me and said that Mr*** was not satisfied and wanted to have a meeting, so we set up a meeting on Saturday January 2, My clients I *** *** and Mr*** were present, our meeting went well we greeted each other and that was the first time Mr*** spoke to Me *** ***, as I *** *** and my client understood was that he felt he was missing part of his property as we analyzed the area the conclusion was to remove all the area of 8' ftby 21'ft, break it up and to build it back to look like my client's driveway, as agreed by Mr***, as discussed during the meetingIn the conversation never did Mr*** say it had to be done for free he asked for a written estimate by us *** & Sons Concrete IncAs we concluded the meeting we all agreed that the proposal was going to be given to Mr***
On January 5th I wrote up a proposal to Mr*** to demo his side of the concrete driveway 8'ftby 21" feet place it back with open grout lines and grout concrete to match My client's drivewayThe proposal was for $810.00, our intention was to remove the concrete and match My client's driveway, but on January 7th Mr*** called my cell Phone *** ***, and was again defensive and asking us why did he have to pay for us to fix his driveway and him Mr*** Met with us On Saturday Morning January 2,and agreed to get an estimate from us *** & Sons Concrete IncWe initially fixed the upper area of driveway and middle section of driveway by adding concrete but we Lunas never broke that area of 8'ft by 21'ftSo I *** *** conclude that if Mr*** was never fair or was never Honest of what he wanted to commence with us *** & Sons Concrete IncWe do not agree with Mr*** to have that portion of driveway replaced for free, as we Lunas repaired the other sections already, and it seems as Mr*** was never wanting to agree or consider having a conversation with Me *** ***

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I was being very patient with the ***'s concrete businessThey should have known that every house has a property lineI didn't talk to them that morning because I was and am still going through medical issues as I had a appointment that dayI told my neighbor that they damaged my cement on my property and damage my drain pipeAnd yes, they should correct their mistakes at no cost to meI had my property surveyedThere is foot width between my house and my neighbor's houseThen surverior marked my property at 8'*** concrete went over by a 1'5" on my property and damaged it without my consentI called his bond agent and I'm working with them over this issuesA licensed contractor is responsible for their actions when working on a job siteThey damaged my property
