Mr. [redacted] contacted Mr. [redacted] and asked him to stop by the shop at his convenience in order to clarify any questions. [redacted] brought his Audi A8 and met [redacted] to review his concern. Up on inspection we verified a faulty radiator cap, which was not replaced during the initial work.We offered to order a new cap to solve his concerned. [redacted] called us back and indicated that he purchased a new radiator cap and did not need us to replace it.We pressure tested and advised on the repairs free of charge.If you need any further information or clarification from us, please don’t hesitate to contact me.[redacted] PS: please let me know that you received this e mail. [redacted]

Goo evening I did receive the first message from you and I they called me and stated they want me to bring the car back into there shop asap. so they can lo at my vehicle again. I spoke with [redacted] and I stated to him that my car is now worse because now it has a coolant leak when in fact prior mechanic checked for nay leaks and stated there wasn't any. [redacted] stated he wanted to see my car again onMonday 12/14/2015, which aim going to do at 10:00am that was the end of our conversation. ( my vehicle 2007 Audi A8 Quattro, Expensive  Car.) I have a Great warrantee but that was not good enough for this shop they want MORE..  please see picsPic #1 shows what they broke and tried to glue it back?pic #2 my Audi A8Pic #3 is what they also broke and charged me for that as well.They kept my car for 3 days... 3 days is a very very long time to replace ONE coolant sensor...         Thank you very much          Best regards [redacted]

Review: On Tuesday October 1, 2013, I took my vehicle to get serviced at Lusti Motors. The service included a safety inspection. At the conclusion of the service, I was informed that I needed a new battery, new engine valves, new spark plugs, among other various repairs. Because the price of the repairs totaled around $800.00, I decided to get a second look at my vehicle. I took my vehicle to another independent certified mechanic. After checking my vehicle, the second mechanic informed me that my battery did not need to be replaced and there was nothing wrong with my engine valves. Most alarming, the second mechanic informed me my rear suspension was loose, the wheel bearing was bad, and my air filter was completely clogged. Essentially, I paid Lusti Motors $325.00 for an oil change and a car wash.Desired Settlement: I would like Revdex.com or similar agency to investigate the practices of Lusti Motors. What concerns me the most is that my safety was put in jeopardy due to their negligent actions.

Response to customers concern,

Let me first respond to the delay of our response to the Revdex.com. We would have preferred to review this concern with the client in person. We contacted the client and expressed our concern. However, at the time, the client did not have the time to talk to us, so we asked if she could return the call when it would be convenient for her. After the initial contact, we left messages and sent her an email asking to please contact us so that we would have a chance to address her concerns. To date she has not contacted us.

This will explain the possible misunderstanding that may have occurred;

1) We performed a Mercedes Benz Scheduled Maintenance Service (B) which is not just an oil change. We follow the Mercedes guidelines for this service and exceeded them with some of the procedures.

2) The battery was tested using the Mercedes Benz recommended Midtronics tester and the results for the battery were as follows: State of charge at 85%, the life of the battery at 15%. We recommended a battery replacement based on the outcome of this test since the recommended battery should be able to handle a load of 850CCA. Having a NO START battery is something that we feel can be avoided by performing this test. Sometimes, although the battery tests poorly, it is still able to start the car for a few months.

3) We never recommended engine valves. What we did notice and recommended was to have the Positive Crankcase Valve (PCV valve) or (oil separator) cleaned and resealed, since it is leaking engine oil. The spark plugs were recommended due to the current mileage on the car. Mercedes recommends the spark plugs to be replaced every 91,000 miles or four years, and the car has over 106,000 miles currently on it.

4) The air filter was not recommended to be replaced because it passed our inspection and was not “completely clogged” as the other repair facility stated. Furthermore, we did not see the need for replacement, since Mercedes recommends it to be replaced every 52,000 miles, and we had just replaced it 16,588 miles prior to this visit.

5) What has us concerned the most is the statement of bad wheel bearings and loose suspension. Neither of these items was detected during our safety inspection and test drive procedures. We are very concerned about the safety of our clients and their automobiles and would have liked the clients’ cooperation on this matter. Since we cannot verify the repairs that may have been made, or have a chance to contact the repair facility that claimed such needed repairs we would have to assume that the wheel bearing repairs where not justified.

In conclusion, we are hopeful that this client will find the time and give us a chance to review with her, the independent mechanic’s recommendations and or performed repairs. Here at Lusti Motors our mission is to make every effort for complete customer satisfaction.

Review: p w 033I own a 2007 Audi A8 Quattro , last week as I was driving my vehicle my temperature gage stopped working , as I was driving. I stopped at Mr. [redacted] on Mission Gorge and the owner of shop Francisco tested and looked at all coolant lines and said NOTHING wrong with lines because the car is not overheating and didn't see any coolant leaks either. He then had my car running for a while as he was troubleshooting the temperature for possible overheating . He then took a temperature laser gun and said that car is perfectly fine and advised me that temperature sensor was bad he also advised me I had a minor oil leak as well. Owner said to take to the Audi dealership which I should of done!! I found this shop by the name Lusti Motors because they stated that they worked on German ,Japanese and one other type of vehicle . I thought ok great shop, rite .(WRONG) when I brought my vehicle on 11/23/15 @ 10:00am then I called my warrantee and they advised me 3 times that they will cover that coolant sensor part, then I received a call from [redacted] sales rep. and he stated he called my warrantee and they told him they wouldn't cover that part when in fact I called 3 times to make sure. They had my vehicle for 24 hours now its Tuesday11/24/15 now and then he calls me and stated that another piece needs to get replaced(Throttle body coolant union) is what is said and now my car wasn't drivable . I advised him how can that be possible since I've been driving it to Chula Vista and back since Friday.? He responded that and it would now cost ME $700.00 more and if I didn't pay to have my car to out.. Then I took an [redacted] to go see what they have done to my car and they point two parts and one of the past they said they Broke but glued it back together and other coolant line hose was broken off as well and now they want to pay total of 831.00 when this should of cost me 211.00 for the replacement of the temperature sensor. aim also taking them to small claims courtDesired Settlement: resolution would be and adjustment of what they BROKE and bill me for original price $211.00
