Review: On 6/17/2014, I entered Lustre Cleaners - [redacted] in Washington, D.C. and asked if this cleaners cleaned [redacted]'s clothing. They said yes and I proceed to have seven pieces cleaned. I returned two weeks later to pick up my dry cleaners. When I approached the counter for pick up, two women were standing by and a male senior staffer was near the counter. They all gave a funny look like there is going to be trouble to each other. When the attendant brought over my clothing, I immediately removed the plastic covering and discovered that my knits felt hard and sticky. I asked what happened and they said that they did not know. I immediately asked to speak to the manager. They said that Steve and Bryan were not in and suggested that I speak to them on Monday. On Tuesday, I called and spoke to Steve. He said that he would get back to me. I called him four times that day and twice more. Finally, he came to the phone. Steve heard my concern , took my phone number and said that he would get back with me in ten minutes. He did not call back. I called a couple times and the person that answered said that he was busy. Finally, I told them that if he did not come to the phone that I was going to come to the store to speak with him. The next day, I called again and finally spoke to him. Steve said that he did not see anything wrong with the clothing. I called back again and spoke to the other manager, Bryan. He too said that he saw nothing wrong with my dry cleaning. Last Saturday, I went back to the cleaners to pick up my dry cleaning. Bryan came out to speak to me telling me that their store cleans lots of [redacted]s garments. When they brought my clothing to the counter, the problem still existed. I tried on my black jacket and the fabric was lifeless. The rest of the pieces were also hard, lifeless and the knits were loose. Lustre Cleaners ruined my clothing and I want them to replace each piece or compensate me to purchase them at the [redacted]s store. My receipt number is [redacted].Desired Settlement: I want Lustre Cleaners to replace all pieces: One Black [redacted]s Suit - Military Style with 8 Double Breasted Gold Buttons,One [redacted]s Black Pants, One [redacted]s Navy Blue Skirt, One [redacted] Silk Black Skirt, One [redacted] Deep Tan Shell Blouse, One [redacted]s Purple-Plum Pants, and One [redacted]s Periwinkle Blue Sweater with Silver Buttons. Seven pieces total. If the replacement cannot occur then, I would like to be compensated for the cost of items. not returned.
