Staff member is not at the facility to open it until after the slated time. A 1 yr old child was expelled from here for not napping. This child care facility is set to openat 7 am. The two mornings in which my child needed to be dropped off at 7 amdue to me starting back to work neitherstaff member was there on time. On MonAug 25, 2014 the staff member arrived right at 7 and still had to open the building and get ready for the day. On August 26th, 2014 the staff member didnot show up until 7:05. The child care center still needed to be opened. The staff member took my child inside with her. At pick up I expressed concern that nobody was at the building at the appropriate time and I knew that they were busy in the mornings to get ready for the day. I asked where my child was being placed and expressed concern that he may be left alone since there is only one staff member in the building at that time and they have to get breakfast set up and put out. I wasn't aware of the procedures for the morning so I inquired about that and also let them know that I have to be at work early and needed to drop him off at 7. An hour or so later I received an email terminating my child's enrollment at the said center stating that the reasoning behind it was that it wasn't working out because he does not nap and is waking other children up. (He is 12 months). They terminated his enrollment effective for this day. We have been left without child care and as military we have no family. On two other occassions my son has come home with a bite on his nose on 8/12/14 and a scraped knee on 8?14/14. Neither incident was documented. I sent emails regarding both incidents and asked for incident reports to be written up. I was told that they would be done but I have never received a copy. Tuition has also been paid for the week of termination so a refund has been requested for that.Desired SettlementWe desire a refund for the services in which we have already paid (96.00) for the remaining three days this week.8/27-8/29, 2014. We also want acknowledgement that the way in which this matter was handled was inappropriate, unprofessional and uncalled for. Business Response These allegations made by Mrs. [redacted] are total fabrications. Mrs. [redacted] is angry with our school because we terminated her enrollment because her child is not ready for a preschool. Our contract which we have signed by Mrs. [redacted] clearly states that the director can terminate enrollment for anytime and for any reason. Mrs. [redacted] agreed to all the terms of our contract upon signing and returning the contract to our facility on July 2, 2014. Therefore she has no right to dispute the termination. Also Mrs. [redacted] arrived at our school at 6:45 each morning and by law we are not allowed to open the building to any students until 7:00am which we explained to her multiple times. Each morning our school was open at 7:00am on the dot. Mrs. [redacted] was also very aware that our facility will begin opening at 7:30 this month, which is another reason why she is angry with our facility. Mrs. [redacted] was also provided an incident report for the bite her child had; incident reports only need to be filed when a child seeks medical care for an injury sustained in our facility. Again as courtesy we wrote one for Mrs. [redacted] and she was provided a copy of the incident report. She claims she has no family in town however she had her mother and father come to our facility the day after her termination. By law they were not allowed on our property period once their child has been terminated but again we were courteous enough to allow it in order to collect the child's belongings. Mrs. [redacted] had her father come into our preschool (with children present) where he not only cursed at our staff he threatened our female director, and pregnant staff member. Local law enforcement has been notified and neither party is allowed back on our school property or they will be arrested. We have been nothing but kind and courteous to this woman and she has been extremely rude and threatening to our staff as well as her father who threatened our female staff members in the presence of children. We not only have been very courteous to Mrs. [redacted] through all of this we also refunded her money (which she had before this claim was made.) We refunded her tuition as a courtesy, which again we did not have to do per our contractual agreement. We had many reasons for terminating her child's enrollment none of which were that the child did not nap, he simply was not ready for a preschool environment and we suggested he attend a daycare. As owner and director I reserve the right to terminate at any time for any reason without any notice, again agreed upon by Mrs. [redacted] per her contract. We are a preschool with children to teach and care for and Mrs. [redacted] has continually attacked our facility as well as our staff, which will no longer be tolerated.
