Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: This is not true - I have it in writing that they would pay for the rental of the car They knew the urgency of getting the car they sold to us and agreed to pay for the rental On a number of occasions in writing Iadvised them that the costs were mounting They kept hoping the car would show up - it did not They hired the contractor to ship the car and agreed to pay for the rental until it showed up.The day after we got our money back we bought another car and was delivered within the day. They caused us to incur this expense hoping to the car would show up - we have it in writing that they agreed to pay for the rental. It appears since you can not get this resolved I will have to file a lawsuit and seek not only the loss due to the car rental but all legal fees.If you would like written proof of their promise to pay for the rental so you can add it to your records and notify all potential customers out therethat their word is not worth anything - let me know and I will send it to you.I hope you rate this company accordingly.Standing by Sincerely, Donald [redacted]

We sold the vehicle AS IS however we agreed to repair the vehicle once the customer pays the $2,balanced owed on the vehicleBalance is still dueBest Regards

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/06/30) */
The vehicle when sold had no issuesIt is a years old car and runs good at the time of saleWe have no way of knowing the fuel pump will be going outWhen the fuel pump is out a car will not run at allHowever the vehicle was towed to our
facility on June 28, and on June 30, we had a new fuel pump installed and car readyThe young lady whom the car is for and purchased the vehicle apologized on her father's behalf for the profanity he used against our sales rep when the vehicle broke down and appreciated our quick response to her concernsShe picked up the car today and was happyWe told her if she has any issues with the repair performed that she has a months or 12,miles warranty on the work performed

We sold a vehicle and arrange shipping with a reputable dispatch company. The shipper dispatched stole the vehicle and police reports were filed with local and state authority agencies. A criminal investigation is pending so names may not be mentioned. The potential purchaser was refunded all monies...

plus the wiring fee they were charged. We are currently waiting the pending case to get our $950 shipping charges reimburse and if possible the potential purchasers rental charges. The potential purchaser was informed due to the unfortunate circumstances our agreement was then null and void. The potential purchaser rented a vehicle at their own discretion. We informed the potential purchaser of the current investigators contact information and to try to get their rental charges included in the case. Hope this explains the unfortunate situation for both parties. We have nothing to do with the vehicle the potential purchaser rented. They are an Oregon resident and we are an Illinois dealer. Thanks

vehicle or not. We do sell our vehicles in good faith however the vehicles we sell are older models with high miles sold at whole sale prices. The prices we sell our cars are low enough for our customers to be able to spend a few dollars to repair or fix if needed. As for the transmission quote Ms.[redacted] received we would recommend she get a second and third opinion. The $4500 quote is about what she paid for the entire vehicle. We are attaching our complete multiple discloses that were made to Ms. [redacted] that vehicle was purchased AS IS before signing and paying for vehicle. Thanks
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/04/02) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
yes, it is true I was informed the car doesnt stand warranty, this after I drove the distance a second time from skokie to tinley park to buy a car I wasnt made aware before going back for it, that it wasnt covered by warranty. there had been over one week between when I first saw the car, signed preliminary papers (a trick no doubt for fools like me to potentially prevent them from changing their mind)to when I went back in to buy the car. one of the dealership guys called me at least 3 times to make sure i'm going back to buy it, at any time did he tell me they were not offering me the warranty they had promissed initially to lure me in this caustic deal. to be honest, I am filing this complaint mostly for the purpose of painting a picture on what kind of business/business people these are for everyone who wants to closely look into it before getting into any kind of agreements with them. bottom line is, Revdex.com should re evaluate this business in the spirit of fair customer/business relationship they aim to protect, or else people like me will continue being cheated by this business. I will also be attaching the original documents they had me sign the first day I walked in their dealership, for comparison and to get a sense of how they mislead customers. thank you
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2014/04/03) */
We understand our customer's frustration. However there is no way for us to tell what is going to happen to any car we sell. Once again we gave our customer every opportunity to back out of the deal before she paid us one dollar as we disclosed to her that there was no warranty available for the vehicle. There was trick or treat here everything was clearly disclosed to the best of our knowledge. Accountability here is also on the buyer who makes a decision after being clearly informed of all her options. Thanks Again

To whom it may concern, we sell older model cars with high miles. All of our cars are clearly marked AS IS and all our customers sign the AS IS disclosure and they sign again an AS IS disclosure on the bill of sale. It is mentioned and...

customer signs more than once. However we will make an attempt as a courtesy to our customers to refer them to a mechanic to try to solve a problem if one occurs. Please understand we do what we can to purchase cars that are used and run well however the vehicle is 14 years old and is going to have wear and tear that will result in mechanical issues that we have no way of knowing or foreseeing. We also sell our cars at whole sale prices below market price to help with the cost of the vehicle in the event a customer might have to spend money on the car. While we understand the unfortunate situation we clearly disclose everything. Thank You

The vehicle when sold had no issues. It is a 12 years old car and runs good at the time of sale. We have no way of knowing the fuel pump will be going out. When the fuel pump is out a car will not run at all. However the vehicle was towed...

to our facility on June 28, 2015 and on June 30, 2015 we had a new fuel pump installed and car ready. The young lady whom the car is for and purchased the vehicle apologized on her father's behalf for the profanity he used against our sales rep when the vehicle broke down and appreciated our quick response to her concerns. She picked up the car today and was happy. We told her if she has any issues with the repair performed that she has a 12 months or 12,000 miles warranty on the work performed.

This was by far the worst car experience I've ever had. They not only sold me a car knowing there were issues, but they did not stand by the product - after my concern within the first 24 hours and four phone calls and a stop by later. I would highly recommend to look elsewhere before purchasing from Luxury AutoMaxx - they are not to be trusted!.
