*** *** did purchase a Chevy Equinox from us for cash on 04/08/At the time of purchase the Equinox had 132,miles on it (see attached sales contract, pages & 2). The vehicle came with our standard 50% labor & parts warranty on the powertrain for
days/1,miles as illustrated on pages &of the attachedWhile *** *** was purchasing the Chevy Equinox at our dealership on April 8, we recommended and offered her the extended warranty options on page of the attachedOn page of the attached you can see where Ms*** declined to purchase any of the extended warranty or maintenance offers we recommended and presented to herOn page of the attached please see the signed we owe form stating that we would check the Air Conditioner noise on the Chevy Equinox. Page of the attached documents that we replaced the Air Conditioner compressor unit at no charge to Ms*** on 04/28/at which time the Equinox had 133,miles on itDuring Ms***'s 04/28/visit she asked us to look into a humming noise at highway speeds and some brake noiseOur technicians test drove the vehicle and could not duplicate these noises (see page of the attached)On July 28, Ms*** brought the Equinox back to our service department with 138,miles on the vehicle (6,miles more than were on the car when she purchased it) and inquired about some issues she wanted us to diagnose and or repair (see page of the attached). We advised Ms*** that the chirping noise she heard has internal to the engine and that the engine needed to be replaced in order to eliminate potential engine issues in the future; and that the vehicle is no longer under warranty. The other items were diagnosed and or repairedWe informed Ms*** that she could replace the engine on the Equinox at our internal rates or she could trade the vehicle in and receive a trade in allowance of $3,dollars which is fair market value for her car in it's present conditionMs***'s Sales Associate, *** *** has contacted Ms*** several times about coming in to trade vehicles or pay for her outstanding service ticket and replace the engine on her vehicle

I am rejecting this response because I took the car to a different service provider who was able to address an issue an fix what was wrong. Luxury Imports continued to put me off, I'm not sure why they couldn't find the issue if another service provider did.

[redacted], Regarding complaint #[redacted]; I've reviewed the file, interviewed our owner, and met with the salesperson involved in this transaction. As you can see from the attached Carfax, the 2008 Chrysler Town & Country had a well documented service history and was a one owner when...

we obtained it on 10/08/2012. After inspecting the vehicle and performing any necessary maintenance we put the 2008 Chrysler up for sale. [redacted] purchased the 2008 Town & Country from us on 11/06/2012. Some time after the sale when [redacted] called and told us her 2008 Chrysler would not start, we towed the vehicle to our dealership and did manage to start it and did not charge her for this. Another time there was an issue she reported and we took the 2008 Chrysler to the local Chrysler Dealer and they were not able to find any problems. We did not charge her for the trip to the Chrysler Dealer. We worked with [redacted] to resolve her reported issues but nothing abnormal was discovered by the certified techs at Luxury & Imports or the local area Chrysler Dealer. Regards, [redacted]Sales ManagerLuxury and Imports
