Initial Business Response /* (1000, 17, 2015/08/27) */
I am responding to the complaint as a manager of the the nail shop. I would like to request to see have a copy of the gift certificate. We would like to make sure it was our gift certificate that the customer was present at the time of...

service because there are many nails salons that are register with the same name in the inland empire. Our employee were following the store gift certificate policy by not honoring the gift certificate because the it was expired. All of our gift certificate include the expiration date on it and we inform our customer about the policy at time of purchase.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 19, 2015/09/01) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do no agree with the response about the employees honoring the gift certificate policy, due to there not being an expiration date on the certificate. They state they would like to see a copy, which was sent when I opened the complaint. He also states that all of their certificates have an expiration date, which this one does not. Also,my daughter purchased the certificate from this store as a gift, so I know the certificate is from this store only.

To whom it may concern:
I would like to address [redacted]'s complaint regarding his daughter's recent visit to Luxury Nails & Spa. His accusation of the salon taking money for NON performed service is FALSE. Typically, in order for any...

legitimate business to accept money from a customer either a service is performed or a product is purchased. In this case, [redacted]'s daughter clearly received service on her nails and therefore rightfully charged. Subsequently we do not have a warranty over nails to last a min of two weeks up to one month as [redacted] stated; it is common knowledge across the beauty industry that nails can last UP TO two weeks when PROPERLY maintained. We stand correct that nails can grow at a different pace for different individuals due to a variety of factors including but not limited to age, diet/nutrition, health etc. It is no surprise over the span of 5-7 days that [redacted]'s daughter's nails have grown which logically explains she's due for another manicure or fill in. In addition, after observing the client's hands there were obvious signs of picking at the nails which consequently shortens the durability and longevity of our work due to POOR maintenance on the client and will require repairs. We confidently stand by our workmanship and are gladly willing to address our customers' concerns but not without charge in a scenario such as this.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to respond.

the wording used is not of my statement and bottom line is they do not and will not stand behind their poor workmanship...if they did, the would fix their problems vs trying to get another full fee. bottom line, they take advantage of people when they see the opportunity. no other way to put it!
