After Luxury had redone Ms *** drains, it had rained several times after that and we did get her last payment after a collection letter was sent to her Since then our office has not received any phone calls that she was having any additional issues and we were unaware that she contracted

Review: I began my backyard redesign project with Luxury Outdoor Designs in late March 2014. At that time, I met a designer from Luxury Outdoor Designs about installing a pergola, pavers and an outdoor fireplace. In addition, his proposal included adding new drainage to tie into the existing drainage to ensure proper drainage, and new sod. The project with the exception of the custom fireplace was complete in May 2014. I was and still am happy with the pergola. The pavers are nice, but they slope toward my house which became a problem. The $3000 fireplace was damaged in shipping and although they offered to repair it, I requested a new one. I was told they would file a claim and order a replacement. After a month, they contacted me to confirm the fireplace model for re-order. In July, I was asked to go to Harvey to look at the repaired and/or new fireplace. At that point, the 3 men I dealt with no longer worked there. I was unsure if the fireplace was the repaired original or a new one and after much grief from them, I rejected it. Furthermore, the newly installed drainage did not work properly resulting in water approaching my back door threshold. In August 2014, they sent someone to "redo" the drainage. I asked to see another heavy rain before paying the 10% left on my balance. In October 2014, they sent a letter threatening to "take legal means of collecting payment due." I had not witnessed a heavy rain, but paid the balance. In November 2014, a heavy rain produced the same results.... water rapidly advancing toward my back door. At that point, I gave up on dealing with Luxury Outdoor Designs. I hired a professional drainage company to have the problem fixed properly before my house flooded. The drainage had to be completely redone; new grading and re-sodding is also required. Suffice it to say, I do not trust Luxury Outdoor Designs nor would I recommend them from a product and/or customer service perspective.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed $2464.00; the cost of removing and replacing the improper drainage installed by Luxury Outdoor Designs despite two attempts. I would like to be reimbursed the $1062.48 I have to pay for the re-grading of the back yard and sod placement after new the drainage installation. The total is $3526.48.

Review: The owner [redacted] installed my original concrete counter tops in 2010. He did a very nice job and the finishes were very nice. Over the last four years, the counter top work areas started to wear down and the finishes needed redoing. I met [redacted] at my house and reviewed the work required. He provided me a quote and I authorized the work to be done. Upon completion, I received an invoice for $834. I called [redacted] and told him that the work was very poor and, in fact, made the counter tops worse than before. The counter tops were originally just worn down but smooth but the finish applied made the counter tops bumpy wherever they had been worn. He told me that if I paid the bill, he would come back to my house and redo the the worn areas. Since I had worked with him in 2010, I went ahead and paid the bill. I have tried to contact him a dozen times now and his secretary just intercepts my calls. He will not talk to me and has not been back to redo his bad workmanship. He is now working for another associated firm called Luxury Outdoor Designs. That is actually the firm that I wrote my check to but the phone number is the same ###-###-#### as Yard of Dreams.Desired Settlement: While it is my preference to have Yard of Dreams (Luxury Outdoor Designs) come back and refinish my counter tops and make them smooth like the non-worn areas, I would accept a full refund of my payment as I will have to find another concrete refinishing contractor to take off the bad finish and apply a good finish.
