LV M Design Remodel Restore Reviews (3)

I am surprised after almost months pass this has come upWe were originally hired to add a sunroom and build a new deckWe supplied liability, sound references and completed work for the client, after review we agreed to work the project, once started the client added many changes to the contract, each time it was fully written out reviewed and agreed upon by all parties, we also did a large amount of extra work at NO CHARGE, thousands of dollars of labor was given to upgrades and a child's loft area that was added as the project went on that because we enjoyed the client and we encountered unexpected additional amendments that were needed as we opened up areas we wanted to make the project more special, unexpected repairs are upsetting and we tried to our best abilities to ease some of that costThe simple deck grew in size and a master bedroom deck was also added to be redone to match the new deck belowWe built into the deck area a grill area with backsplash, cabinet, custom tile design, flooring walls and covering, weather was a factor in the time frame we had a very wet summer, as the speed of the job and additional costs started to grow everyone became frustrated and the mood turned awkwardAfter several unsuccessful attempts to rectify the monies, costs originally planned on project, unexpected expenses, changes and always having full expense receipts we could not agree where things went astray and how to get them back on trackIn the end we did offer to complete the balance of the project with NO FURTHER MONIES to the clients satisfaction, however the offer was declined, also at which time a lien waiver was signed by all parties finalizing all further claims.I feel willingly, sincerely and wholeheartedly we made EVERY attempt to make them happy, the only solution to the unfortunate situationWe truly enjoyed meeting them, spending time with them and wanted NOTHING more than to fulfill their remodel vision. For all parties it was disappointing and heart wrenching, we are small and do not over-extend ourselves so that when we engage in a project we are giving the client our utmost undivided attention and treat them with integrity and transparencyEVERY receipt was handed over and not a penny was unaccounted for.Sincerely wished for a different ending, WE DID OFFER TO COMPLETE AT NO ADDITIONAL MONIES....we were unable to reach a settlement with that offerEveryone left disappointed[redacted] *

There is no dispute there was a contract signed with good intent to complete the project. Conflicts beyond either the client or the...

contractor control, weather delayed progress at times, the client travels and on those occasions we were unable to access the project to progress. Client began another project in the area that we had to wait on parts of that to be completed before we could proceed with ours. After many delays on both sides we had other commitments scheduled to start, time conflicts started to delay the continued work, area's were needing adjustments made and we communicated several times with client trying to correct concerns. It was deemed in the best interest of both parties someone else complete job. We have provided item by item list of Materials, permits, business license, drawings and costs for work done to date as well as compensation for unfinished area's. The client has declined the breakdown the offer. ironically at the same time she has submitted this complaint she has communicated with us to supply her a material order. We agreed to provide item. To this day we have continued to try to finalize the conflict however she was given an offer and never after our last conversation responded further but to ask about a stair rail. I have a legitimate cost evaluation, dollar for dollar and am willing to return a monetary amount based on the original cost of project minus what monies my business has spent.
