Lychee Restaurant

Review: Lychee is an American Chinese restaurant that delivers food in State College, PA. On September 29th, 2014 I ordered two chicken lo mein dishes. Within the first few bites of one of these dishes, I found an unknown insect in my food that was still living. I called Lychee, and asked them to refund me my money because I refused to eat another bite of their food, and I would not let my fiancee eat hers. Lychee told me they would send the delivery driver back to my house, inspect the food to confirm there is an insect in it, and then they would give me my money back. I called them 3 times within the next hour because their driver never showed up to my apartment to inspect the food. The third time I called them, one hour and twenty minutes after my food was delivered, the manager told me that the driver came to my door and nobody answered. That is a lie, because I was sitting within 30 ft of my door. I also have a doorbell that rings in every room of the apartment. It was never rung. The manager then told me that he could not send another driver to my apt tonight, and that he would personally come over the following morning, inspect the food, and then give me my money back. I told him that this was his mistake and that I should not have to wait until the next day for this to be resolved or for my money to be paid back to me. He then told me he could come after they close at 11 p.m. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with any delivery restaurant in my lifetime. The customer service was atrocious, and they did not react to this serious food health and safety issue with any sense of urgency.Desired Settlement: I paid a total of $23.33 for the food that I ordered. 2 chicken lo mein dinners at $7.25 each. 1 wonton soup at $2.75. Sales tax was $1.04. The processing fee was $0.59. The Delivery Fee was $1.00. And the tip was $3.45.
