Lynch Law Offices

In August of 2018...I retained services of this law firm to handle my case. After consulting with Mr. Lynch, I decided to go with his firm to help me with my situation. I provided the firm with the proper documents requested by them, and gave them a $500.00 retainer. I had not heard from the firm after a month of retaining them, and emailed there paralegal that was assigned to my case. I believe her name was Mary K. She said they were working on it. That is the last contact I had from the firm. Being new to and not knowing how "bankruptcy" works...I know it takes a few months to get to the point of discharge, but I received a 120 day payment from Mr. Lynch, asking for the remainder of the balance due. I proceeded to contact the firm and ask them the status of my bankruptcy. The receptionist was quite surprised when she looked up my account, and said it had not been processed, at all!! I asked to talk to a Mr. Lynch, and she said he was not available. I asked to talk to another lawyer in the firm, and no one was available. She said she would have someone call me back. 5 hours later Mr. Allen called me, a lawyer with the firm, and we discussed my situation. It appears that they "dropped the ball" on my case and did not follow the proper procedures to file my claim! My financial situation went from bad to worse because of their incompetence!I asked for my $500.00 retainer back, and Mr. Allen said he would have to talk to Mr. Lynch. Have not heard back from the firm. I talked to them on 12/12/18. Bankruptcy is a time sensitive and a HUGE life decision. A law firm that I paid to retain and then forgets the client is unacceptable!
