Review: What is happening is that they are taking insurance information and claiming that the you have not met your deductible. However the deductible is met but they send you out a bill. They bill you because they want more money for services then what the insurance pays. They have done me this way and sent in a bill to collections that went against my credit. However, insurance had paid the bill and they just wanted extra money out of me. They also know that you have a copay fee but they let you go and not tell you. This is so they can bill you. I have also been told that I needed to come in for female visits that were not needed just so they can get a larger collections bill. They have also billed me and said I did not have insurance on the date of service but I did. I think they are getting away with being unfair to people. If they did it to me, they probably have done it to others and have gotten away with it.Desired Settlement: I want my credit cleared of the bill they sent to collections that should not have been there in the first place. I also want my bill evaluated so that I can pay what is fair and what I owe.

In response to the complaint to your office dated 11/4/14 against Lynchburg Gynecology

With regard to billing/collections in 2014, there have been multiple attempts to obtain the correct insurance information and eligibility for this patient. Our records indicate multiple re-filing of claims based on patient’s new information given and conversations with patient that claims were denied. Payment plans have been established and maintained for patient’s convenience. Offered to re-file with latest insurance once card is received to verify eligibility. Prompted patient to contact her old insurance company and question eligibility on dates of service and offered to re-file yet again as needed. Lynchburg Gynecology has been more than helpful to find resolution for these denied insurance claims.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The business is referring to denied claims. The issue is not only about denied it. What about the claim that was not denied but because off their negligence about filing NO claims period to the correct insurance. They took the correct insurance card, did not scan it in, sent a bill and never felt the need to call me. I had to call the insurance to say "Hey you haven't paid my bill" and in reply it was Ms.[redacted] no claims were filed period. They are just trying to cover their negligence because they received the correct information and never filed it correctly.
