I went to get my nails done on Saturday October 31, 2018 at Lynnda Nails located at 2430 Dougall Ave. Windsor, On. I looked over the price list. I wanted gel nails. They were listed as $35.00. An *** came to me and asked me if I wanted assistance. I asked him if the gel nails were $35.00. He said they were. I said I would like to get the gel nails. He said I would have to wait about 10 minutes. He showed me a seat and gave me colours of nail polish to choose. He came to me when he was done with a customer. He did my nails. We went to the front so I could pay. He said "$45.00". I said they are listed as $35.00. He said no that price was for nails that used the long drying nail polish. You got the fast drying polish which is more money. I paid the $45.00 and was confused. I never heard of this before. A few days later I went to another salon and I told them about the above incident. They told me their salon only uses quick drying nail polish and that does not change the price. I also asked other women who get their nails done and they never heard of such a thing either.
I would like an apology from the*** who is the manager of this Salon. He should have asked me if I wanted the quick drying or slow drying nail polish. He did not. He also overcharged me for nonsense. I would like $10.20 as per stated on my bill returned to me.

While the complaint states she attended our nail salon on October 31, 2018 we believe it was late March of 2018.
Our price list indicated $35.00 for a manicure (using traditional nail polish). Gel nail service are $40.00. The complainant indicated in her letter to you she wanted gel nails; a service that with tax is $45.20 so we believe the confusion is hers.
Fast drying polish is gel polish that is applied to the nails and "baked" on. This baking process takes approximately 15 minutes for the two coats of polish generally applied. Traditional nail polish requires a much longer drying time and does not involve the "baking" process. The polish is applied and then our client sits there in the salon and waits for the polish to dry.
We believe the complainant did not understand the difference that exists between gel polishes and "regular" polish. The non gel polish manicure price is $35.00 plus $4.55 tax or $39.55. We are happy to give ms. X a Solon Credit of $5.65 as a gesture of good will.
We also find it rather upsetting that our only male nail technician was referred to as an ***. Surely there is a less inflammatory way of identifying the person with whom she is upset; perhaps "the manager of the salon" would have been sufficient.
