Lynne's Nissan Subaru Reviews (17)

After reviewing with our Motor Vehicle department, This customer must provided us with a copy of his receipt for payment of his property tax.  Motor Vehicle will not let us issue a title nor plates until this receipt has been provided to our company.

Review: I purchased a vehicle from Lynne's in 2011. I was made aware of a variety of add-ons that I could purchase to "save money", i.e. the "[redacted], the "[redacted]" service plan, the "[redacted]" program to name a few. None of these programs actually save you obey as it is included in the financed priced. As a result you end up paying exponentially more than you otherwise would. Furthermore, every time I attempted to activate the "[redacted]" program, I was told they don't do it, they can't find my paperwork, and today I was told the damage doesn't fall within their parameters for repair. I believe these protection programs are intentionally misrepresented and I want my money and the finance charge for the service back. Lynne's found a way to avoid honoring both the [redacted] and the [redacted] plan. They always have a loophole to get out of honoring a service they upwell customers.Desired Settlement: I want Lynne's Hyundai to return all or part of the $1955.00 plus 6.60% interest I incurred on that amount since March, 2011 (purchase date of the vehicle).

Review: was overcharged $96 for registration. registration was $4. (100% disabled veterans pay no car registration fee) I agreed to pay $399. plus 112.73 for the title, and completing all paper work. when I called lynnes Nissan in Bloomfield as instructed by my salesperson I was told a refund was due.but I needed to follow up with the office in [redacted], which I did. by phone, fax and E-mail. still no refund at this time. my date of contract was 12/10/2013Desired Settlement: refund of $96.

Review: On November 8, 2014, we bought a 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek. Almost four months later we have still not received the title to our new car.

When we were initially were presented with the vehicle, it had 89 miles on the odometer. I was assured by the salesperson that this was because it had to be driven from another dealer. We later found papers in the car indicating that it had come from a dealership in Wayne, NJ, less than 10 miles away. The salesperson noticed a sticker had previously been placed on the owners manual that was not fully removed.

I have repeatedly been called to inquire after the title and have been given the runaround. Their current story is that DMV made a mistake in the VIN number when they issued the title initially, that it was sent back and not yet returned. I have expressed my concerns to the manager who assured me more than once that the car was new and that there was no issue with the title and that we would be receiving the title soon.Desired Settlement: Delivery of the clean title to the car in my name within two weeks.

Review: My 2013 Nissan Rogue was involved in an accident in late January of this year. The body shop where my car was taken to did all the work they could do and sent the car to Lynnes Nissan East to handle the mechanical issues they were unable to resolve. My car was given back to me in early April. However a week after driving it, I notice the car was making a strange noise as I made a left turn and the left fog light and left headlamp light went out. I was told to bring the car back to the body shop so that it can be looked at again. I brought the car in the week of May 26th and was placed in a rental. The body shop told me that the car was at Lynnes Nissan. I was called on Friday, May 30th and told the lights were replaced and the noise was taken care of. However while the car was at Lynnes Nissan, it was rear ended. At this point, while the car was in the care of this Nissan dealership, it has depreciated even further in value. It seems that when it goes back there for repair, it comes out with additional damage. I have called and left messages and no response back from them. In addition, I made a report with Nissan North America, Inc. where a case id # was given to me [redacted] They also sent the dealership an email. I have yet to hear back from anyone there. I am completely upset and disappointed this has happened to a car I purchased on 12/31/2013 and is only about 5 months old. I was told by their corporate that they should be reported to the Revdex.com if no one has contacted me to explain how this happened and to make this situation whole.Desired Settlement: I am seeking for some type of compensation. At this point, even if I was to sell my car, I'm lucky if I even get $10,000 for it. As a result, I would like for Nissan to extend the warranty on my car from what it currently is and possibly waive one month loan payment. If this is not something they will consider, then what would they be willing to offer me? I do not wish to speak to anyone from that establishment anymore because I am highly annoyed with the situation.

Review: I have purchased 2012 Ford Focus from Lynne's Nissan on December 11th. (Cash transaction). They have issued 20 days temp tag valid though Dec 30th 2015.

They have denied my request to provide titles and insisted on them doing the registration. They charged me ~250$ for this service.

My temp tag expired on 12/30. Today is 01/17/2016 and I still do not have title/plates on hand. All my calls are directed to a sales man who has no idea what is going on.Desired Settlement: Completion of registration (title and plates)+ refund of registration fees as compensation for not being able to legally drive the vehicle

Review: [redacted]missing documentation have been provided to the Lynnes Nissan on Jan22nd. (after receiving notification on Jan 21st)

Regards,

Review: I went to Lynnes Nissan to purchase a car. I already received financing from my credit union. The car I purchased was FULLY paid for. I don't know how Lynnes Nissan got a hold on my social security number, but they made a hard inquiry on my credit report as a lender. So because of that my credit score went down. I did not sign any papers to finance with Lynnes Nissan or give them permission to do any type of credit check. Now I will have this on my credit report for 2 years. I don't understand why someone there would do that when I was fully paying for the car.Desired Settlement: I would like for that HARD INQUIRY from my credit report removed. I never signed or asked or was offered any type of finance by them. That needs to be removed from my credit report as a lender ASAP.

Review: Hyundai Certified - Bait and Switch / False advertising, by Lynne’s Hyundai of Bloomfield New Jersey on 3/8/14

Name and address: [redacted] Model and model year: 2012 Hyundai Tucson Limited

Date of purchase: 03/08/14

Vehicle Identification Number: [redacted] Current Mileage: 21,000

Brief description of concern: Bait and Switch / False advertising, by Lynne’s Hyundai of Bloomfield New Jersey

Email* [redacted] Day/Evening Telephone Number[redacted] What you are seeking: Hyundai Certified designation as advertised

I responded to online advertisement of Lynne’s Hyundai in Bloomfield New Jersey, which indicated that this vehicle (Vin: [redacted] was a “Hyundai Certified Pre-Owned” vehicle. Attach are three of Lynne’s Hyundai ads from; [redacted] Also attached is the Carfax report that Lynne’s Hyundai included in their listing, (which also indicates that this is a “Hyundai Certified Pre-Owned” vehicle.)

However after I arrived at Lynne’s Hyundai, took a test drive, decided that I wanted the vehicle, had the salesperson write on the sales agreement the warranty coverage provided by the “Certified Pre-Owned” designation, I signed the contract, salesperson signed the contract, and I provided payment, I was then subsequently informed that they would not honor their contract and they would shred it.

I was then told I had to pay an additional $895 to get the “Hyundai Certified Pre-Owned” package (including its accompanying extended warranty).

I am seeking that Lynne’s Hyundai honor their listing and provide me all the perks that are associated with the purchase of a “Hyundai Certified Pre-Owned” vehicle at no additional cost to me.Desired Settlement: I am seeking that Lynne’s Hyundai honor their listing and provide me all the perks that are associated with the purchase of a “Hyundai Certified Pre-Owned” vehicle at no additional cost to me.

Review: I bought a used [redacted] versa on Aug 16, 2014 they told me I had 30 days to pay the balance which was $490.00 about a week later I received a call telling me that I had to pay earlier which was not an issue at the time. I went on 9/4/2014 and paid the balance since then I have called them asking for the title of the car and have yet to get the title. I called today October 6, 2014 and they still do not have a title. I asked to have a manager call me and I did not receive that call either.Desired Settlement: I would like my title as soon as possible and since I have gone there 4 or 5 times already I would like them to bring it to me.

Review: I was contacted by Lynne's Nissan in Bloomfield for their Presidents Days sale because I had purchased 2 previous cars from them, to get out of my lease early with them and take on a 3rd car from them. After negotiating what I thought was an all inclusive no hassle deal, I turned in my old Nissan, and took on a brand new one. I was told there would be no extra charges for anything, we completed the deal including my old car being inspected in less than 2 hours.Desired Settlement: I am simply looking for a refund of $513.44 that I was unfairly assessed after our transaction was complete. I have been given the runaround from this dealership, the salesperson and Nissan headquarters and am now turning to the Revdex.com to help me hold them accountable for having integrity in their business model and get my money back that I was unfairly assessed.

Review: We placed a deposit on a car were going to buy through credit union, we received a bill of sale we signed and submitted to credit union. We notified them that we were coming to pick up car on Wednesday and tuesday before they sold the car and notified us. Before we decided to use credit union, [redacted] the finance manager never gave us details o on terms or interest rates. He based his #s on a price of the car we didn't agree to. This dealership is very unethical and unprofessional. [redacted] our salesperson was the only person I will not complain about. He was great.Desired Settlement: They should be clear to the consumer when it comes to finance and leaving deposit on car. I will never step foot in that dealership or any Lynne's owned dealership

Review: I took new lease and dealer suppose to purchase my car from the previous lease. Same way as I did twice before in different dealerships. I asked sales person 3 times during the time of the purchase, will the car being purchased by dealership? Sales person answered yes, and also added that if there are any issues with car besides extensive millage, dealership will take care of it. Almost 2 months later I received certified letter from Nissan Financial services with charges for extended mileage (which I was suppose to pay to the dealer after they will issue paper of acceptance of the car) and additional charges for "wear and tear" . I went to dealership and they refuse to help me in any way possible to solve the problem. Even refused to call in my behave to Nissan Financial to lower or dismiss "wear and tear" charges.Desired Settlement: I would like dealership to pay for "wear and tear" ($1,100.00) and I will pay to the Nissan Financial only the extended mileage charges - $1,500.00.

Review: They took a $300 deposit for a car viewed online (Friday 5/2/2014), I made an appointment with the salesperson to come pick up the car (for Monday 5/5/2014). Was promised this deposit would hold the car until my appointment - as I live 1.5 hours away. Received confirmation of my appointment (via email on Sunday 5/4/2014). I replied via email saying I would definitely be there and so I lined up a driver to make the trek with me. After driving for more than an hour on Monday morning, I received a call telling me that they just sold the car to someone else even though they had my deposit. They lied about everything. When I asked why they would confirm my appointment on Sunday when they sold the car on Saturday… they all said they didn't know. Somehow the car was never tagged, nor removed from the system and the salesman who got the sale just assumed that they were selling to the person who made the deposit? WRONG. Nothing they say adds up. Did they credit that new buyer my $300? Salesperson say it is managers fault, manager says salesman's fault. They said that they have a receipt of the deposit, but claimed that they needed my credit card number again to refund the deposit. Not a chance I was giving that again. I called my credit card company and apparently they had backed out the authorization showing there is no record of the charge. Someone must have backed out the charge, but no one could bother to let me know before I wasted my time and my driver's time. I spoke with 2 salespeople ([redacted] & 2 managers ([redacted]) and they lied to me and were disrespectful. I don't know if they even ever had the car that was listed… no surprise here that the car is still up on their website and other websites when they sold it days ago. They are dodging my calls - everyone is unavailable, in a meeting, on the phone - owner also unavailable. After seeing more reviews, it is a pattern of dishonorable and deceitful business practice. Classic bait & switch.Desired Settlement: If this was the first time or even the second time this happened, perhaps they could be forgiven for having a policy in place that doesn't protect the customer in this instance. But given the number of reviews on [redacted] etc. that establish this bait & switch tactic as their regular business practice, they should implement a safeguard against this happening again. And they should be monitored to see that the new standards are upheld or they will continue to cheat the consumer.

Review: Direct Mail Spam: Continues to send marketing/advertising material even after calling them twice to remove us from their mailing list.Desired Settlement: Remove my contact information from their direct mail list. I do not want to receive another piece of mail from them.

Review: I recently purchased a vehicle in the beginning of May at Lynnes Subaru Dealer. On the contract they pre-charged me for vehicle registration/license plates. At the time of purchase I was given temporary plates and registration, which expired at the end of May. It has been about two months now and I do not have my registration or plates. I called a day before my temp plate’s expired and told them when I could expect my new plates as my temp plates are just about to expire. To sum it all up they did not process my registration like I was guaranteed at the time of purchase and completely forgot to process it. I called back and forth, back and forth and just kept getting jerked around. They do not have an answer for me every time I call. I just keep getting the BS run-around that someone will call me back (nobody has yet to call me back), [redacted] does not deliver till five please call back, a manager is not available at the moment, your plates are being processed please wait until we receive an update, etc. The list goes on. I have been driving with a non-registered car along with expired temp plates because I work Mon-Fri. I have been going through too much frustration to try and find a ride to work and for someone to pick me up. I need a resolution ASAP. If not I need my money refunded because they pre-charged me for registration and I will process the request myself through my local DMV because of this irresponsible piece of garbage dealer.Desired Settlement: I need a resolution ASAP. If not I need my money refunded because they pre-charged me for registration and I will process the request myself through my local DMV because of this irresponsible piece of garbage dealer.

Review: I leased a vehicle on June 9, 2014, upon delivery the back passenger side headrest, seatbelt and back passenger where damaged by an employee preparing the car for delivery. There were slashes made by a box cutting as a result of removing the plastic from the vehicle. The sale manager stated that these items would be fixed it is now July 2, 2014 and they are claiming that they are still waiting for parts from California. This is inexcusable. Not to mention that added secret fees to the transaction informing me that although we agreed on a price in order to get the price it had to be back dated and I had to pay another month. This matter needs to be addressed immediately.Desired Settlement: While I would like a replacement and a refund of one month (Do to the damage). These tricky car dealers will not do that so I will settle for their immediate attention to this matter or information on NJ rules for small claims court.

Review: I bought a new car on May 20th 2013 . I had an [redacted] driver licence and they were going to register the car in ** for my car. And tax rate was little more then NJ so they charged me more money for the car and registration, since they were saving my trip to [redacted] I did not make a big deal. They gave me a temporary tag for 2 weeks. Day before my temporary tag was going to expire I went to dealership and asked them about my tag. They said it's in process and gave me a letter that says my registration is processing. After a few days I got a ticket for expired tag. I took ticket the [redacted] (one of the manager), he said we are responsible for the ticket and we will pay it. He kept the original ticket and gave me the copy. Then he called his people to ask what happened with my tag, then they realized either I had to drive to [redacted] to register the car or change my licence to NY. Since I moved here I changed my licence to NY and got my tag and registration here. I thought everything was ok but I got a letter from DMV that saying they did not pay the ticket (they responsible for) and now ticket went up to $ 375 and if I do not pay in 3 weeks they will suspend my licence. So I went to dealership with the letter today and found the [redacted] and asked him "why you did not pay the ticket?" he said "it was your fault, we are not responsible for it" I told him "you said, since we did not get your registration on time so we are responsible and that's why you kept the original ticket" Then he called another guy (suppose to be manager) he asked me what happened. I just started explain then [redacted] interrupted and talked for a min. I did not say anything and listened then said the guy "May I explain now?" he said go head. Then I started explain but he was playing with his phone then I told him, respect me and look at me while I am talking, not play with the phone. He said "are going to argue with me too, if I want I can kick you out from here in a second" I did not say anything and left.Desired Settlement: 1-I want them the pay the ticket they responsible for

2-I want them to give me the refund for the tax difference (** was 8.5, NJ-NY was 8 %) I paid for ** but they got me NY registration!
