Total joke of a company. They do not have lawyers on staff, only a few paralegals that don't know the law. They filed my paperwork incorrectly and it almost got thrown out in court. On top of that, the day before the trial I was told by Bill (the owner I assume) that I would have to represent myself. No lawyer. I had already paid $500 for the lawyer but still had to represent myself.

I am so embarrassed I didn't check reviews before I went with them. They have lived up to every bad review that I now see.

DON'T GO WITH THIS COMPANY NO MATTER HOW CHEAP IT SEEMS. Go with a REAL eviction lawyer and don't get left in the lurch.

My complaint with Lynx Legal Services and Mr*** *** still standsI have been in contact with other victims of *** ***s scams and there are others coming forwardI have contacted the Los Angeles County Department of Consumer & Business Affairs, along with *** *** who is the *** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** has been defrauding people for years and getting away with it and at this point he is so confident he can't be stopped that he is very brazen with his activitiesI have every intention to pursue the termination of any company this man is using to defraud innocent people

Lynx Legal is the worst rip off that has come along in a long long time. I hired them to do a simple eviction and they botched everything from the start and I fired them and went with avery good law firm and my attorney was great! She pulled me out of the mess Bill Toomey put me in with their gross negligence. - Tiffany Patel was my attorney and she was great. After I fired Lynx Legal my Attorney advised me of all their errors in their filing and their general incompetence which caused significant delays in the eviction process which cost me several months rent and unnecessary additional time having a very disruptive tenant in my home, as well as the $499 initial charge, $240 in court fees and $350 for an attorney. The court and attorney I never used and the $499 to get the eviction started which they made an absolute mess out of. I will be taking them to Small Claims Court as well as reporting them to the Costa County Clerk/Recorder's Office where he is registered and file a complaint pertaining to him working far beyond his scope and misrepresenting his qualifications. Also, Bill Toomey and one of his assistants fraudulently signed my name as only the Petitioner (myself) or my attorney could sign. William Toomey is NOT a lawyer he is a very bad Legal Document Assistant.

According to BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL CODE - BPC DIVISION 3. PROFESSIONS AND VOCATIONS GENERALLY [5000-9998.11]

CHAPTER 5.5. Legal Document Assistants and unlawful Detainer Assistants [6400 - 6415] ARTICLE 1. General Provisions [6400 -6401.7]

~6401.6. A legal document assistant may not provide service to a client who requires assistance that exceeds the definition of self-help service in subdivision (d) of Section 6400, and shall inform the client that the client requires the services of an attorney.

Bill Toomey and his troop of incompetents grossly exceeded the scope of service permissable by a legal services assistant, in violation of the Business and Professional code and should have referred me to a qualified attorney.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] has gotten away with his fraudulent activities for years and Lynx Legal Services isn't the only company name he has practiced such heinous business under. He also worked under the name "[redacted]" which...

like his company Lynx has overwhelmingly negative internet responses from his customers. The only reason I can see [redacted] even taking the time to respond to any of his many complaints is because he feels that he is invincible at this point because he has not been held accountable for his criminal activities. Even the documents that [redacted] provided in his attachments to the Revdex.com go to show and validate the complaints me and my husband have made against him. My husband and I turned to Lynx Legal Service for an EVICTION of the tenants that hadn't paid rent for months. Because Lynx failed to do their job in a timely manner, the tenants simply VACATED the property. You would think [redacted] would know the difference between EVICTION and VACATE when he mentioned this in his response. My husband and I didn't know the house was vacated until a neighbor called us to ask about renting the home. And yet Lynx claims our tenants were PERSONALLY served during the time the tenants weren't even residing at the home. I can't believe [redacted].
Furthermore is you look at the incompetency of [redacted] and his business partners is almost too much to bear.  [redacted] swears up and down that he did not overcharge our account, but we not only have the checks to prove that he overcharged the account the case files numbers for the court cases are clearly on the checks.  Everyone knows that you are only issued one case number per filing, yet [redacted] filed two Unlawful Detainers on my tenants on my tenants with the court so we were charged twice for two unlawful detainers that were not acted on.  The reason that this happened is because [redacted] is so lax in administering his duties, that he does not even know what he has filed and what he has not filed.  We are not the only clients of his that he has done this to.  [redacted] simply feels that people will not pursue him after he gives them the runaround because honestly most people have properties that they have to get rented out and chasing [redacted] down for $1,000.00 or so that they are out of quite frankly is not worth it to a lot of people. 
 
If you search his name on [redacted], you will see numerous complaints about [redacted] and his many companies that he operates under.  It should be a wonderment to anyone who reads to comments to assume that this man is still in business, based on his [redacted] reviews alone.
In fact [redacted] is so brazen in his actions that he actually included in his comments to the Revdex.com statements from his internet portal that totally contradict his own claims and statements.  To top things off, if you look at the attached Affidavit of Processor, [redacted]’s processor signed that he served a [redacted] a Latino Male in his 50’s.  When in actuality [redacted] is a Black man in his 30’s.  So based on the signed Affidavit alone [redacted] is operating under a fraud.  He has never rendered the services to us that he promised.  He has overcharged and double charged us for services that were by definition are erroneous i.e. Sworn Affidavit. 
The bottom line is that [redacted] has been a fraudulent business man for years. He has be allowed to operate the way that he has because no one has seriously taken the time to pick his operation apart.  He will continue to prey upon homeowners and landlords because 100 percent of them are in need of a “SOLID SOLUTION” when they contact [redacted]; that he flat out doesn’t produce.
