Due to all the storms and wind damage in the area since the first week of April, we have been backed up on Fascia metal and soffit repairsDue to an employee sickness it put us behind in getting to [redacted] 's fascia metal & soffit repairWe had other customers ahead of [redacted] 's repair and did our very best to get this repair doneWe then got the [redacted] message about the issue and [redacted] Lyons responded with the $discount for the miscommunication.It is our policy at Lyons Roofing to remove birds nest in the area we are installing soffit only or unless other wise noted on the contract.This nest was over on the other end of the eve/ soffit areaThis would require our company to remove soffit on the other end of the eve and this wasn't listed on the contract for removal [redacted] our repairman was out today May 10th around 10:00am to remove the nest [redacted] did show [redacted] the nestHe made note the birds where old enough to fly awayDue to rain coming in this morning, I wasn't sure [redacted] could run out and get the nest removed todayHe was able to get it done!

[redacted] came out and helped my husband and I identify a problem on our flat territorial style roof and discussed options for correcting it in an honest and thorough mannerHe was on time, too which seems hard to find these daysHis follwas via email with pictures of his findings, so that's a bonus, tooI would highly recommend Lyons Roofing to any of my friends that needed roofing specialists

3/2017-I contracted with Lyons Roofing for an overlay shingle procedure on my roof This is not a complaint, but a review I cannot recommend using them for your roofing needs What should have been a 2, maybe 1/day job, turned into days! All because of scheduling/timing/staffing issuesWhen a contractor gives me times/dates that the project will be worked on, I expect them to honor those times/dates This did not happen in this instance I estimate I made at least calls to the business and text messages to the salesman and/or foreman to find out where the roofers were, when they would be here, when they would be finished, who did what there was always an excuse I ended up cleaning up the ground part of the project as I was tired of waiting for it to be doneThe office manager was very nice and very helpful Again, I could not refer them to do a roofing project

Roofers destroyed my pool's solar system
I have sent several photos and other documentation (solar pool inspection and Job Invoice) to Lyons Roofing clearly indicating the destruction of my pool solar system, while they made "repairs" a few years agoAfter the roofing was done we noticed the pool temperature was cold At this time my husband, ***, was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer, and obviously our attention went elsewhereAfter my husband died, I never used the pool until this seasonIt cost me $to replace/repair the solar issues
I have made several attempts to amiably resolve this with Lyon's Roofing.The photos taken by *** were self explanatory.Finally,***,the owner of this roofing company responded with his refusal to take responsibility and claimed the wind flipped over the panels and kinked the pipesWhen I wrote *** about this his response was that he never, in his ten years of business, saw or knew of wind issues as the culprit causing such damageAnd

Contractor never completed work for tile replacement and faceshaWill be contacting az contractors for the lien they are trying to put on the house

We had our roof replaced by Lyons Roofing in April Here's our experience:
Positive
+ Price - while it wasn't the lowest quote we got, it also wasn't the highest AND the sales rep was able to show us exactly why it was the price that it was
+ People - everyone we interacted with on the office side was super pleasant and helpfulIf s/he didn't know the answer, s/he would find someone that did
+ Punctuality - so many contractors tell you 8am and then show up at 10amLyons told us one time for various meetings and then the work, and they stuck to itThat was so welcome
+ Work - our roof is gorgeousI watched all the work they did to it as well as fascia repairs and thought it was excellent qualityI didn't have to hound the roofers to do their job (as many contractors need)They replaced everything in days, just as they said they would, and cleaned up very well around our propertyThe supervisor even cleared away all the branches they had to trim up
Not-So-Positive
- Wait Time - I understand that there is a wait time between when you agree to the work and the actual start date, but our date wasn't assigned for almost days after we made a down payment, and then the actual start date got pushed back three times for some reason (they never said why)
- Delivery of materials - No one told us when these people were going to come and unload at our houseImagine my surprise when I went to leave for work, only to be blocked in my driveway by a large semi-like truck with people on my roof! Some notice would have been appreciated
I would still recommend Lyons to anyone in Tucson looking to get their roof redoneWe are thrilled with the final result and most of the process to get it done
