I called the office this AM and they asked me to send you an email
Update on my complaint:
A friend's son (plumber) took the old water heater away *** He
said it would have cost about $to haul it and dispose of it as it did not have much scrap value ($2, he said).
I asked him to look at the installation: he said the vent pipe was a hazard as it sloped downhill: the new water heater was taller than the old one. It might mean that the gas can't escape out the vent for the furnace. I've attached a picture.
I do need to get a new furnace but apparently this installation was not done well. He said the water valve handle was not a major issue.
Thanks. The name of the person that hauled it away is *** ***. He works in the *** area doing light home plumbing tasksHis mother is a friend of mine. I would like him to be reimbursed for hauling the water heater away. Please let me know if there is something else that I should do.
