Good morning,
I've been checking our records for a vehicle owned by the complainant on that date and dates before and haven't located anything by name. If possible I need to get more information such as the type of vehicle and where it was towed from.
Thank...

you

On October 20, 2014, a 2009 [redacted] was towed from in front of [redacted] MD because it was parked in a visitors parking spot without a visitor's permit. In that development you must have a visitor's permit to park in a visitor's spot.
When the...

complaintant came to our facility she was advised the registered owner had to pick up the vehicle, which has been our policy for numerous years. After complaintant being told this she became irate and stormed out of office and then calling the police. According to my staff, the police responded to our facility also advising her that registered vehicle owner had to retrieve vehicle, after that being said the police then left.  After the police left, complaintant went straight to the car which is not permitted until impound fees has been paid because we can only assume she will try to take car without paying impound fees. She was instructed to get out of the vehicle and when she didn't my staff proceded to lift vehicle  to move it to a more secure location without her driving off in it. Once she realized he was moving it she then got out of vehicle walking towards the moving towtruck yelling and screaming and reached inside the truck trying to swing on my staff, when unsuccessful she started kicking at the towtruck. At that point, my staff then called the police because she tried assaulting him and to have her removed from the premises, and which the police arrived and told her she had to leave. She later then called and asked me if she could have her brother fax something over stating that she was allowed to pick up the vehicle because he was stationed/live in Alabama. Not knowing who she was or her being affiliated with the fiasco earlier in the day, I felt sympathetic for her and  told her that he could overnight a notarized statement along with a copy of his ID, But it is our policy that the registered owner have to be the person to pick up vehicle.
She came back the next day with the documentation to retrieve vehicle. A third party was trying to pay for the vehicle with a credit card which is unacceptable because we only have to accept a credit card from the registered owner, which he was not present.
With that being said, no refund is due because she was illegaly parked at [redacted] by being parked in a visitor's parking spot without a visitor's permit.

Review: Friday, September 27, 2013 M & N Towing rep. damaged my car (Chevy Impala) by going over a bump too fast and causing the tow hook to rip apart from the bottom of my car. I witnessed this as I was behind the tow truck (in tow) following him to the destination (Chevy Dealer - my engine didn't work). The guy and I inspected the bottom of the car, and agreed that the only damage that was done was a rip in my left tow hook. I asked the tow rep. whether or not I would be able to have my car towed in the future, and he mentioned that I had another tow hook. I asked him how does the company handle things like this, and he said I can call the company and submit a damage claim. Monday, September 30, 2013, I called and told the young lady, [redacted], that I would need to complete a damage claim. I told her what happened and she said I need to talk to [redacted]. I spoke with [redacted], and told him what happened, and he told me to bring the car to him. I said I couldn't because the engine is getting repaired. He told me to bring it in once it was repaired. When I called back, [redacted] was out for surgery. I was told to call back in 2 weeks. Once I finally caught up with [redacted], he was willing to pay for the damages, but when I challenged him on getting something in writing or receiving the payment for repairs up front, he got belligerent and decided he wouldn't pay at all. I asked for his insurance information, and he declined. The amount of damages that was admittedly done, was $462.00. I would like the money for my the repairs to my car, and any court costs I've incurred chasing the company down. They may not have a license to do business in the state. Please confirm.Desired Settlement: I would like my $462.00 for the damages done to my car. I have a quote from Chevy.

Response:

Yes, her car was damaged while in tow. When she called in to speak to [redacted], I did tell her that [redacted] was out on surgery and that [redacted] would be the next person in line to speak to instead of having her wait til [redacted] got back. When she spoke to [redacted] had scheduled a day and time for her to come out so he can view the car and the claimant never showed up or called...this happened on two separate occasions where she scheduled and she never showed or called. After weeks of not showing up, [redacted] was back to work and she decided to finally show up. When she came she had an estimate from [redacted] Auto Body, [redacted] advised her to go ahead and schedule with [redacted] Auto body to get fixed and once its complete we will take payment directly to [redacted] Auto Body since they was right across the street from us. That was unacceptable for her, since she wanted money. When she is ready to have vehicle fixed we don't have any problem with paying the body shop for the damages that our driver did.

We did have a current license then and have a current license now!

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved]

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

I would like to work through the insurance company of the business. I will no longer trust any settlement from this party outside of an insurance claim to the company's insurance. The most important thing is that liability has been accepted.
