I was referred to M & K by a neighborI called them or times with no call backIf they cant return your call to make a sale, I can only imagine what they would be like in their service

After reading this complaint, I pulled the customers records.Both units were fully cleaned and servicedWool was replaced and a thermogenerator The valve read *** and needs to be above ***to operate correctly.I do see two calls from the client, the last one being 4/28/
The notation on the paperwork shows we were waiting on a back ordered valve from our supplier.
It was then left in " parts on order" and was in fact our fault that that it fell through the cracksand was not followed up on.
For this reason, I will refund the amount requested
I apologize for the oversight and certainly don't normally run my business that way.

The complaint was answered through our [redacted]ccount. They also notified us and a response, along with an immediate refund was processed. Our supplier was unable to provide product in the time frame necessary. We offered to complete the job in 2 weeks when our product was scheduled to arrive but...

promptly refunded the deposit in the meantime.

Review: I had a new fireplace installed by this company on May 14, 2013. The bill submitted at the time the installation was completed had three items as follows. The installation of the fireplace $1,885.00, insulation and sheet rocking $700.00, replacing the old Chase cap with a neww stainless steel one $1050.00 and additional material purchased for $450.00, resulting a total of $4315.82 including sales tax. We payed $1,300.00 deposit at the start of the work and the remaining $3015.82 was paid by peronal check at that time. The following day I went up to the roof to inspect the work and saw that the chase cap was not replaced. When I called the installer [redacted] he told me he did not replace the chase cap because the old one was in good shape. At that point I reminded him that the bill included this item and I paid for it. He promptly apologized and said it was en error and would send me a check for $1,050.00 plus tax totling $1,116.67. As of today, he did not refund this amount and does not answer my repeated telephone calls.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

Review: I called M & K because our home had just sold & I wanted them to fix the wall switches on two of our gas fireplaces & to make sure that all of our gas fireplaces were in working order. [redacted] checked & serviced the units & let us know that the master b/r unit needed a gas valve & turned the unit off & told us he needed to order a new valve. I called M & K for over 2 months & they never returned my calls!! I had to hire another service company & they cleaned & serviced the unit AGAIN & told me that it wasn't clean & it didn't need a gas valve . I paid M&K $372.22 & they never completed the job . Then I had to pay again today $239 for service I thought was already done .Desired Settlement: Half of the service & diagnostic fee should be refunded.
