M and M Mechanical

Review: I had my HVAC system installed by this company and they did not insulate my evaporation line in my attick, this winter it got very cold and the temperature went in the the dinale digits causing my evapration line to freeze, this unit is located in my attick and it is common knowledge that this would be done when installed as it is a cold zone with no heat. I contacted m and m mechanical to look at the issue whem furnace stopped working and they discovered that the evaporation line had not been insulated and they advised my wife that it was not installed correctly. that being said I discussed the issue with m and m mechanical and they advised they would be charging me to have this insulated, I was not about to pay them for somehting that should have been done in the first place. A few weeks later I receive a bill for 300.00 for time they took to look at my line and advise to me that it was not properly done in the first place, I advised that this will not be paid because they did not properly install this to begin with and how do they justify billing me for their mistake, I now received a collection notice for 360.00 in the mail. This is not the first time that I had issues with this business. I also had a propane line installed and I was verbally quoted an amount of 400.00, I was later advised the bill was for about 650.00 due the installer lieing about the hours it took him to installed the propane line, I had to point this out to the owner and make him come out to the jobsite to realize his emplyee was padding the hours for the install. it put that he was there for 7 hours and it only took him about 2 hours, I know because my electrician was there the same time and he confirmed that m and m was in and out in about 2 hours, I wonder how many other customers M and M mechaical takes advantage of with this?Desired Settlement: I am requesting that this evaporation line is fixed properly to prevent it from freezing in the winter months at no cost becuase it should have been included in the original installation of the HVAC unit. If you ask anyone out there they will agree that a evaporation line nees to be insulated when it is in a cold zone, it is common sense to anyone with HVAC or plumbing experience.
