Customer made an appointment for Saturday and asked us to order a regulator only (the part that makes the window go up and down)on Friday .He was told the car needs to be dropped off because it could take up to 3 to 4 hours. We install the new part(after [redacted]et part) and it fails after several times...

rolling up and down while we were testing it and it is around 1:00 pm so we gave him 3 options that 1. we could order another part (after [redacted]et) that maybe delivered sat afternoon or Monday and if it makes it in we will install it same day  2. He could bring his car back on Monday  3. He could also use one of our cars while we were waiting on the part.Monday morning I did ask him if he would consider going with OEM part or wants to go with after [redacted]et part and he OKs the OEM. We did complete the work and called him to pick up his car and return ours.He comes in gets in his car and first thing he mention my SRS light  Supplemental restraint system(Airbags)is on and I did tell him we do not scan for codes or delete SRS light , warning or check engine lights and he could take it to a mechanic  and he tells me he will pay for it if it is reasonable price or I should pay for it if it is a big cost.I did tell him that we just replaced your regulator and I did open his door panel again that he could see the inside of the door for the part we put in and make sure we did not damage anything.  After all this he tells me I should pay for diagnostic ,scanning and  clearing his SRS light.I finally go with him to  take his car to [redacted](on the corner) and they put a computer and give him the  2 codes that has nothing to do with the regulator.I did pay for scanning and they asked him to bring the car in the morning since they were closing. He gets in his car rolls  up his window while I was talking to him  and saying that I would help you with the cost(even though that I do not agree I should) and  takes off.He calls/text  me that I wasted 2-3 days of his life.He even tells me  put 5 dollars or 5 gallons of gas in our car while he was driving it.We have done many window regulators and window motors on Benz and BMWs and we will continue to do more and we do take pride in our work.[redacted]Cell [redacted]
Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Warning LightThe SRS system is also referred to as a passive restraint system because the vehicle occupants do not need to do anything in order to activate the SRS system when the enabling criteria—speed and deceleration—are met. In contrast, seat belts are an active restraint system. The vehicle occupants must proactively latch each seat belt in order for the seat belt to do its job. Even automatic seat belt systems have a lap belt that must be manually latched. The Bulb Check: SRS Warning LightWhen the vehicle is first started, the SRS light should illuminate for 1 to 5 seconds while the system goes through a self-test sequence. If the light goes out, then the system is ready. If the light stays on, there is a fault somewhere in the SRS system. The system is disabled at this point. In the case of a collision, the airbags will not deploy and the seat belts will not tighten, nor will any additional features activate.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] did not tell the truth. I thanked him for replacing the regulator and tested drive the car. The SRS light was right on the board; no one can miss it. I told him about it. At first, he said he din't know how to reset, then he denied that the light could come up anytime for any other reason. At that point, I was a bit upset because he was not telling the truth. We went to the shop he recommended. The error code was "9223, resistance too high in ignition circuit component R12/9." According to Google results, it was related to the driver side airbag (see one of the Google results attached). His "friend" did not tell the truth, either. Next day, I told [redacted] that according to Google, it has to be disconnected from battery when the job is performed and reconnect after the regulator is installed. He apparently did not disconnect the electricity because he didn't want to mess up with that (his words), and he didn't know how to reset SRS light, which requires a special tool (that he did not have) (see Another Google result). I left the shop after I called to make the payment because he and his "friend" told me that the SRS light could come up anytime or any other reasons. I couldn't believe what they have said. Even if SRS was on for another reason, it came up after the regulator was replaced. The shop should be responsible. He did not know how to replace regulator properly for cars like Mercedes and BMW and should not touch those to save their reputation and to protect customers in the future.About the texting, it was largely related to find out how that could happen, exchanging Google findings. He emphasized that he lent me his truck. I then told him that I put back 5 gallons of gas because the truck had an empty gas tank warning light. I didn't want to drive his truck but wanted my car back. That's all. I have two other cars at home and don't need another car. I also told him if I paid $100 more than what he charged, I could have a loaner of Mercedes and no hassle and trouble with this SRS problem.I normally trust small business owners like [redacted]. After seeing his response and what he said when seeing the SRS light, I don't know if I can trust him and his business anymore. I will have the dealer fixed the SRS light problem. If the problem is related to reset of driver-side airbag, he should be responsible for the payment. Regardless, his business practice should be investigated and reevaluated.
Regards,
[redacted]
