Homeowner and Auto insurance policy to change from every 3 months to monthly.
I want to register a compliant with Shelter Insurance Company because I wanted to change my Auto and Homeowners policy to be paid monthly. I made a payment on my auto insurance on September 10th for 394.05. I called my agent [redacted] (agent #: XX-XXXXX-XX) on the September 10th and informed him of this change. I paid my Homeowners policy on October 10th in the amount of 257.00. I called my agent and informed him of this change and he emailed me the EFT Forms. I printed the forms and filled the forms out and signed each of them. I scanned the forms and emailed them back to my agent.

I received a new bill notification for the Auto Insurance on Saturday, November 2nd stating my auto insurance payment is due for 3-months in the amount of $394.05. I called my agent once again on Monday, November 4th and made him aware of what I received in the mail and he stated he didn't know why it was not put in the system and assured me that I had enough time to make the change again so I would not have to pay out of my pocket. My agent came to my job on November 5th and personally gave me the EFT Forms to sign but because I still had the forms still saved on my computer I was able to print them and update the date on the EFT Form and re-sign the forms along with a voided check. I ask Mr. [redacted] to give me a call to let me know if everything was ok. I did not hear from him and I called him again on November 6th and left a message. I then called [redacted] and informed them of what I needed and then was told they still haven't received the forms from my agent. So, they went through the process of getting this setup over the phone and then I was informed that I would have to make a payment of $200 + dollars to be on track for the Auto Insurance. I refuse to do this simply because I did everything that I suppose to do to ensure that I would not have to come out of my pocket with money until the monthly payment is due.

I am extremely frustrated with this company. I have been a long time customer with Shelter and never really experienced a problem with this company. It seems somebody with your company dropped the ball on this issue and now I am having to pay money out of my pocket for there mistake. That is not fair to me as a customer. Please call me as soon as a resolution has been made for this problem. I sincerely hope that I will not have to come out of my pocket with anything until my next payment is due.
