office or the credit card company) 6 months later I was contaced by a collections angency saying that I did not pay the bill. (The account was turned over to a collection agency in March  2011, 9 months after date of service) I told them that they charged my credit card before the services. (Same as above, she can not provide a receipt or statement from her credit card company showing a charge or payment)  I also noticed on the colllections bill it had my address with the wrong zip code. (This was zip code that was entered when she made her first appointment, which is the same as the zip code on her customer information on your letter. It was discovered to be the incorrect zip code after the collection agency took over) So I contacted the billing supervisior at Dr. Feeinburg's office to see what the problem was. she said that the card was not processed because the zip code was incorrect. (Our billing supervisor was not employed  when the patient was seen so if she made any statement regarding the zip code it may have been to try to mediate the issue with the patient, she would have been guessing) So I told them that the billing error and the wrong zip code was their fault so I said I would pay the bill if they removed it from my credit report.(She agreed to pay the bill after it was with the collection agency for almost 3 YEARS) she agreed and processed the payment. (She (Amy-our Accounts Receivable administrative assisstant) did not agree to remove the transaction from her credit report but did agree to contact the collection agency to notify them that the account was paid in full and to remove any additional collection agency fees as a courtesy. Collection Agency fees in the amount of $121.24 were waived)  2 months later it was still being reported on my credit report (The balance due to our office was paid in February 2014 and Asset Recovery removed the fees and updated her account in March 2014.)so I went back to the office and they said they would have it removed.(She was told that we would contact the colelction agency to make sure they showed it as paid in full) it is now 4 years later and it is still on my report. (She didn't pay it until alomist 4 years after the date of service)  it was their error I should not be punished for some one mixing up the zip code. the bill has been paid in full. I have disputed it with the credit reporting agencies but it is still there. (Asset recovery has ensured us that the account has been updated to show that it has paid in full)
