response to the above complaintMr*** claims to have washed his car on College Avenue on October 18, He claimed the equipment, specifically the foam brush resulted in "scratches all over (his) car".I have been in the car wash business for over years and never had such a complaintAccordingly I take it very seriouslyI have done an investigation as described below and further sought out other customers who may have been at the car wash about the same time as Mr***.My own inspection of the equipment does not reveal any defectNotwithstanding Mr***' claim the equipment was not changed or modifiedIf Mr***' car was scratched during the wash, it was because he misused that equipment of that there was heavy dirt on the car and he basically drug it over the surface of the carHe should have been aware that he was doing damage to own carFurther, it is significant that he dried his car in the bay (which is well lit) and did not see any scratches.Also significant is the fact that no other customer has complained of a defect in the equipment or damage to their cars.With respect to Mr***' description of the meeting with me, immediately upon hearing of his complaint I met him at the car wash on October 20, At that time I inspected the equipment and found no defect with the foam brushMy wife also saw it and I also took picturesI asked Mr*** to show me the pictures that he had taken on October 18, and he refused to show them to meHe is one hundred percent incorrect in his stating that the brush had been replaced.Based upon my own investigation of this claim I find it is without merit and that if in fact the car is scratched, it was not done at the car wash or because of Mr***' own carelessness.Please contact the undersigned in the event that you have have any further questions about this.Very Truly Yours,C*** ***Owner
