The client did not contact us until a couple weeks after buying the car at which point he had already replaced the tires. sell tires as well and we would've gladly replaced the tires here. He bought a set of brand new tires which we reimbursed him for even though we would've rather replaced them ourselves. We also paid for the gas cap as this was included in the invoice. He first brought the car back to us about a month after buying the car. We took action to correct the problem at the time and the car passed inspection here in RI. After another month and 3000 miles of driving he came and we replaced the filler neck. Then after another three weeks of driving he called us and said the light had come back on. We decided to have him go to a repair facility of his choosing to get the work done and we would pay. We've only had two attempts to fix the car as he mentioned himself that he tried to take corrective action himself which we reimbursed him for the first time. The car was inspected before we sold the car and he came after 30 days the first time around never giving us a chance to replace the tires even though we are a tire shop. The lemon law would not apply in this as it has been months and we never had three attempts. We've also reimbursed the client for any additions (new tires, gas cap) made to vehicle even though we had no prior knowledge of the enhancements. In order to make him happy we are still willing to pay the repair cost for the evap problems he is having. However,  we have been more than reasonable with this client. I know he mentioned that he wasn't able to come down because of work but even on the bill of sale we have the warranty marked down as 30 days or 1000 miles. He's driven well over that and we were first able to see the car after 30 days.Thank You
