As I stated in my complaint, I have seen them replace carpets and not charge the tenantI have proof of one in particular that did not have pets and was seldom homeThey replaced his carpet and did not chargeWe have one Dog and one CatNot dogsI am still requesting at least 50% of the charge $to be refunded to usI will not accept a business stating their policy as an excuse to steal other peoples hard earned moneyI have evidence of them refunding a full deposit and changing a carpet that was NOT years oldThe individuals carpet was years old and he was not chargedI will be satisfied with 50% refunded or I can pursue other avenues

The health department inspector was at *** ***'s apartment to perform an inspection on May 6, The inspector requested The Devonshire to repair the exhaust fan motor in the bathroom ceiling This request has been taken care of by replacing the exhaust fan on the same day The
inspector said he he did not see any mold in the bathroom and the old paper was very well sealed as to not allow moisture behind it So there was no need to remove the paper and texture The air vent cover has been replaced also. Our drywall technician smoothed and sanded the edges of the kitchen soffit.  He verified there are no loose particles to flake or fall off.  The areas in the bathroom were repaired by a contractor after the health inspector completed his inspection.[redacted]Brown Capital, LLLP

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Mr. [redacted] concern.  Our carpet and pad has a 6 year life expectancy with the proper care.  We do not replace carpet and pad after each resident moves out. We replace the carpet and pad only as needed.
The carpet was new when [redacted]...

[redacted] moved into[redacted] on May 11, 2014. She lived in the apartment 1 year. The carpet was damaged by her dogs. The carpet was pro-rated for the year that she lived in the apartment, $593.75. There were miscellaneous cleaning charges totaling $120.00. The total charges were $713.75-$500.00 pet deposit-$250.00 security deposit = $36.25 refund to Mrs. [redacted].

The fan was not the issue of my complaint. Furthermore, the health inspector told me that they could not see any visible mold, but it could still be present underneath the paper. He also said that the health inspectors we not allowed to remove any wallpaper from the wall to do a thorough inspection. The health inspector did day that the fan in the bathroom could be causing mold and it be behind the paper and not visible.Additionally, none of my complaints regarding the kitchen walls have been addressed. The bits of texture have been falling off in our food as we are cooking and this issue is still not fixed.
